I guess I should have read the fine print... I expected a full sized book, but this was one of those mini-books, very small, and since I expected a larger book, receiving this little thing left me with an initial feeling of disappointment. Not the vendor's fault... mine for ignoring details!

I have always had a fascination for the North Star, but now I see it is more than fascination...it's direction. My favorite part of this book is the quote: "Spend as much time as possible with people who support your true self. Spend as little time as possible with those who don't." Martha Beck shows you the beauty and guides you to your essential self. A gem of a book!

I'm confused about the negative reviews here regarding people's "surprise" and "disappointment" in the small size of this book. The title desciption of the book clearly states that it is a "minibook" and in the description of the book it lists the actual measurements of the book, in inches. It is meant as a companion or gift book with the focus on the special and noteworthy parts of the larger book it is based on. Before you complain, read the full description.......

When this booklet arrived I was stunned by its small size. It is not worth the price I paid, I found it very disappointing. Nowhere in the description of this product does it mention its miniature size! Seems that should have been mentioned to keep the purchasers from feeling gypped when it arrives.

A wonderful little book to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Uplifting read for anyone, just love the book.

Had no idea this was a little pocket book (although should have guessed from the price---or read a little closer. Save your money and invest in her regular-sized book re: "Finding Your Own North Star."
