I 'chanced' upon this book as well, and those of you that have experienced periods of unparalleled synchronicity will understand the inadequacy of the word 'chanced'.

Anyway, my warning is this: The book is highly focused on Biblical teachings and scripture, but don't let that get in the way. I was raised Christian and then moved away from it because most 'Christians' don't seem to be too Christ-like these days. I let the language get in the way, and it wasn't until I got to the `end of my rope' and `gave in' that it worked.

One night before going to bed, I just thought to myself, you know, "I DON'T have all the answers and the way I'm going about things isn't working. What IF this is the way it works??!!" I put out my `request' and suspended my disbelief enough to accept that maybe it could work, and that is EXACTLY when it happened. Within 3 days, I was having a flood of insights and synchronicities that I have yet to experience again. My life changed overnight and I experienced a full blow spiritual awakening. The key is really believing that it will work. That concept is written about in many places, so this book is by no means unique in that sense. But, your belief that it will happen is the important part. Good luck! ...

The books (4 books comprising this one) are utterly delightful. Even though I knew the universal principles and was using them for many years before I stumbled upon this book, every once in a while I'd forget to apply them. This book came to me at a time in my life when I was facing a number of challenges. After 2 - 3 days with the help of this wonderful book, all the problems dissolved, my faith was renewed and the miracles began to happen all around me, and maybe even more importantly - inside of me. This book helped me get back on the "right track", to the path of wonders and miracles. My deepest gratitude goes to Ms. Florence Scovel Shinn for I felt her loving hands stretching through the words in this book and pulling me (and my life) out of a ditch.

I constantly re-read this book and definitely find the time to pick it up in times of temporary despair. She explains how to re-form our thought patterns and words we speak in order to attract everlasting supply, love, wealth and perfect self-expression. I have bought it for friends and will continue to do so. With this book, I have seen immediate changes take place in my life on every level. With her affirmations for things such as guidance, love, letting go of resentment, success and her teachings to impress the sub-concious to attract the abundant supply that is obtainable for all, this book is more than words can say. I am more in touch with my intutition which always leads me on a path of gold. This book is truly worth having!

I have shared this book with many friends and others who are searching for spiritual writings. I have referenced this book during teaching sessions with teenage girls and during discussions with mature males and females. I used it as a reference, along with the Bible, at a 3 day "ladies"retreat. I re-read this book regularly. It is amazing that Florence Scovel Shinn wrote these books so long ago. It is a source of true spiritualism.

I stumbled upon this book by what I thought was an accident, but I now know that it was divine timing. I saw this book in a local bookstore and gave it to one of my friends for Christmas in 1994. Another friend saw it and bought it the very next day and I had to go back and purchase it for myself. Since that time, I've bought and given this book away no less than fifteen times and it seems that its just at the right time for the individual.

This book has been a great beginning for many of us in search of a special relationship with God. I continue to feel blessed each time I can share it with someone who is in search. I plan on buying it this Christmas for a couple of friends who are at the crossroad trying to jump to the other side. I'm ready to read again and jump too! Florence wasn't before her time, she was right on time!

A classic and must read for every newly evolving persons as well as those that have been on the spiritual path for years. For those dealing with heavy control issues and unwilling to surrender - to your Divine Best - this is a wonderful tool to break down the blockages and let it go. It is wonderfully written with practical applications that apply to today which makes it easy for those who cannot grasp the underlying "how to" in so many books. Every problem, every challenge, every heart's desire - this book can teach you the tool to accomplish what's right for you. My recommendation to friends about this book is "if you buy this book, read it and apply it (yes, you have to make an effort on your part), I guarantee your life will be different in 30 days - sometimes sooner and sometimes longer.

Refreshing, precise and to the point. Makes you really see how you are the master of your own life and puts into perspective all that I've heard before from other books, the Bible included. I cannot recommend this book ENOUGH. Buy it and read it. It will change your life.

I first discovered this lady quite by chance by picking up a 25 cent book called "The game of life" on the ground at a swap meet. I liked it so much that I have read all her other writings, which are few. I wish there were more. This book is like a bible to me. You can always dip into it for inspiration.

Without a doubt, the writings of Florence Scovel Shinn bring religion and spirituality into a unique focus. Her timeless understanding of the essence of being in synchrony with God transcends the mediocrity that so often clouds mainstream religion. Her insight is phenomenal, her conviction is clear. After reading her works, I could not help but read them all again and again. I have since determined that I shall simply "keep my Shinn up" as it were, and keep the texts by my side like a trusted ol' friend, turning to them whenever I feel the need for spiritual comfort. The most amazing consequence of reading her works is in its application. Never before have I been able to be so focused and direct in my affirmations and manifestations. It's becoming second nature to me now, and I sincerely hope to make it my first nature. Who knew that such an unassuming tome could be such a goldmine. I highly recommend this book to everyone, young and old, for I daresay there is none among us who would not want the best for him- or herself just for the asking. Suffice it to say that, even at this point in my brief association with her works, my awareness of these concepts has brought me such miraculous results that now I am in more awe than I already was of this entire Universe in general and my infinite possibilities in particular.

OK, never done this but here goes! When this book was given to me 4 years ago by a woman, I was so depressed I was barely able to get out of bed in the mornings. I was broke, friendless nor could I maintain good friendships, could not find a good job nor hold one down... everything I touched withered. I read the book skeptically, being that, while I believe in god or a higher power, I am not into Jesus (don't want to offend anyone). OK, at first I said an affirmation/prayer in a joking "yeah right why not" way but it worked. Tried another and it worked. I realized in surprise something was working so started doing it more. My thinking began to change. Fast forward a few months I got and held a good job with WONDERFUL people. Made friends. In 2 years got promoted and a big raise, in 6 months another promotion and raise. Then I started realizing some lifelong dreams. I had felt helpless but here I suddenly got my drivers license, bought a house, bought a car, all for the first time in my life. I got lots of cool furniture for the house as a gift from a neighbor, people have helped me in SO many ways and I've now given away 4 copies of this book to other people. It works. Period, end of story.
