This little book is perfect for taking the quiet moment we all need ~each and every day. I carry mine in my purse so it will be handy whenever needed. Think I first ordered one for myself; then, twelve for my colleagues; now, six more copies for Christmas gifts!I believe one copy for everyone would be ideal!

I was guided to the parent book "Gift From the Sea" at a time when my life was falling apart. Sometimes just having the shells when beach living is impossible at the time make all the difference between living and dying. "Wisdom From Gift from the Sea" goes everywhere with me and I use it often - the perfect pocketsized lifeline. I further recommend "Return to the Sea: Reflections on Anne Morrow Lindbergh's Gifts from the Sea" by Anne M. Johnson as a companion read to both books.

Anne Morrow Lindbergh wrote a beautiful book. This "book" does not do it justice. Her flowing prose and eye-opening experiences have been ruthlessly chopped into unrecognizable "meditations". Half the time you have no idea what she's talking about. Yes, I understand the minibook is portable -- and, at 4x3 inches, very easy to misplace -- but the paperback Gift from the Sea: 50th Anniversary Edition is less than twice the size (6.5x5.5) and therefore (in my opinion) just as portable. I was expecting something similar to Meditations from Conversations With God.
I am very disappointed and awaiting a refund.

Book was not the one I expected. I bought it for a class I am preparing to take. I was told this was a full size book.

This book I bought for a friend in France who loves the book for the same reasons as I had when I first read it 60 years ago. It is written by Anne Morrow Lindbergh who wrote of her relationship with the sea and what peace and tranquility she found through meditations on natural treasures she found at the shore.These she focused upon as she sought renewal of her lifes needs.

Love this little book! It makes a great gift that is really appreciated! Many inspirational thoughts. Keep it next to my bed and read it often.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. I've read it three times. A must read for all harried housewives and all women everywhere.

One of my favorite books ever. It's amazing that someone could go through all that trama and still be possitive about life.

I put this in the stocking of the younger women in my family. They have families and full-time jobs and could relate to the wise sayings in the book.

WHAT A WONDERFUL BOOK! EVERY WOMAN CAN RELATE TO THIS BOOK. SHORT AND SUCH A GOOD READ! I HAVE LOANED IT OUT TO SO MANY PEOPLE! AND THEY ALL LOVED IT TOO!
