I have been using Colette's Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards: A 52-Card Deck and Guidebook for over a year and half and they are by far some of the most powerful cards I've ever used in both my personal work as well as my intuitive work with clients. I never go anywhere without them. Well, now I have a new deck I will never go anywhere without.

Colette's Wisdom of the Hidden Realms is an innovative and beautiful set of cards supported by a very practical guidebook. I have seen a lot of decks, but this one is really unique. Colette has gifted us with a set of archetypes and spiritual helpers that are nothing like anything I've ever seen. Each of the 44 (Master Number) cards can be seen as an Ally or Challenger depending on their direction.

The imagery is nothing short of magical. Using graphically enhanced photography, the illustrator, Jena DellaGrottaglia has brought to life these helpers using imagery and themes from a variety of mystical lands. I find myself looking at the cards again and again as I often see something I missed the first time. There really is something for everyone in these cards.

Last, and certainly not least, I want to comment on Colette's philosophy regarding these cards. She states in the guidebook: "It's also important to note that these oracle cards weren't designed to predict the future. Rather, they are meant to offer you the wisdom you need to create the best life now, which evolves into the most meaningful and productive future. These cards also invite you to go deeper into the question, and the motives behind asking it, as the Wisdom of the Hidden Realms is revealed." This is why I love Colette and her teachings so much. These cards are here to help you make the best choice right now for your highest good.

The 123-page companion booklet provides small grayscale reproductions of each numbered card, as well as the card title, keywords, and number (which are also show on the imagery). In addition, Baron-Reid explains how the energy of each card can present itself as an Ally or a Challenger, depending whether the card is drawn upright or reversed.

Baron-Reid also shows seekers how to do a reading and provides three sample readings, as well as tips on asking fruitful questions.

I've had the Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Cards on my Amazon.com Wishlist for some time, but when I saw them in person at a brick-and-mortar store, I felt compelled to buy them. I'm very glad I did; this deck is one of the most innovative, pointed, and attractive decks I've every worked with.

Colette Baron-Reid's spiritual discernment goes way beyond the shallow platitudes sometimes found in pretty oracle decks, with the companion booklet brimming with probing (yet gentle) observations and practical advice encouraging seekers to reach for their highest personal good and overall wellbeing.

I've found the Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Decks to be an accurate form of divination. A side benefit is that it's imagery and card titles are wonderful for brainstorming and idea generation for writers and artists, too.

I received my deck of Wisdom Of the Hidden Realms Oracle Cards as of September 3, 2009. Just the day before we had received notification that they were shipped from Kentucky to Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised of the speedy delivery.

The cards themselves have a lot of charm and fiery passion within the decks art work. The main illustrator of the art work done is by Jena DellaGrottaglia she can be found at [...] They are breathtakingly beautiful and nice to read with the guide book is elegantly written and the cards Images draw you into deeper into introspection of yourself and higher calling. I like that the challengers and ally meanings of the cards. As challengers they make you stop and go within asking you questions for more thought and as ally's you know who are helping you out in any given situation. These cards are very positive they have a great prescience and energy of light around each cards images even around the image of the gate way on the back of each card. The feel of the cards are lite,airy, magical and impressive down to the tiniest of details.A lot of thought went into making these cards even down to the gold edging and the Celtic triqutra symbol below each number. Furthermore, each card is a work of mythical art,wisdom and beauty they read like a book opening a portal to another realm, your inner realm of own divine mystery, magic and beauty.Each time I hold the cards in my hands it is an awaking to my own divine self and allowing access to communicate with the hidden realms of your higher calling. Listen to your own divine voice and allow the images to guide you on your journey within reflecting back to you with a nonjudgmental vision and voice. ok so i've seen Colette speak live a few times and she impressed me so much as a speaker that I have since bought and reviewed all her products. I admit that I am a huge fan of Colette Baron-Reid, her books and I loved the Wisdom of Avalon oracle cards. I got pretty attached to those so I wasn't 100% sure about adding another deck. I saw some samples that she posted on her Facebook page for all her 5000 " friends". She actually does readings for everyone on her page every day so we all got to see the cards well before they were available.I loved the way they looked. So unique and creative plus they really "spoke to me" at a deep level so I ordered them and I am so glad I did. These cards are sooo accurate. As an oracle system they are very insightful and right on when you ask a question that needs a reflective answer. The cards are read upright with the mystical character as an Ally or reversed which is read as a Challenger. So there are 88 different card meanings. I usually shy away from " reverse" readings in case they are too negative but when these are Challengers they really are asking you to look deeply into the subject of inquiry and at what you might be missing. I am really impressed with this deck. the photo on the cover and the card of The Altar Priestess is the same photo as on her CD IAm/Grace..so it's her but with art on top ( not sure how you do that). These are simply gorgeous and sophisticated. Again, even though they are beautiful it's their uncanny accuracy that gets me. Colette Baron-REid always jokes on her radio show that she wants to be like "Santa's oracle elf" creating card decks every year. Well I think she has proven that she knows exactly what she's doing. Bravo Colette for another beautiful oracle deck. !! wow

I bought these cards based on the comments of the other people on Amazon. It had good reviews. I was not disappointed. These cards are beautiful to look at as well as very acurate. I have done readings with them and every time I am amazed at how close to the truth they come. Sometimes I will do a reading and then a card will come up that totally surprises me and yet reading it I will know that it was something that I was not seeing in my life or the life of the person I am reading. I would recomend them highly. The art is just beautiful and the characters are interesting.

I have a LOT of different tarot/divination decks that I use for personal growth and to do readings for other people. While there are many decks to choose from out there, I have to say that this one is very special. And the price! The Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Cards is not a traditional tarot deck; it's a tool for exploring what is happening in your life right now, and the best direction for you to go in. They are amazingly insightful and accurate. Very wise. Also very beautiful. It's a unique blend of nature spirits, native american spirituality, the mystical allure of Avalon, faerie and I don't know what else. The images are also multi-ethnic which I think is cool.

Each card is named for a different spiritual being or energy that is meant to help us in knowing ourselves and fulfilling our life purpose. When you draw a card right side up, that being/energy is speaking to you as an "ally." When you draw a card upside down, that being/energy is speaking to you as a "challenger,"letting you know you may not be going in the best direction for you and that you need to change course.

You can go to the author's website and do a one-card reading there (it alternates this deck with her Avalon deck). I did that before buying this deck and was immediately hooked. It's great to have that web reading available, but the physical cards are so beautiful. Great energy. Thank you Colette Baron-Reid!

Wow! I just got this deck today and really love it already. Another reviewer was concerned that this deck was not multi-cultural- but it is. As an African-American living in a very diverse, large city; I am usually not drawn to decks that do not reflect my social reality.

I have a lot of tarot decks and it seems there are some cards that have similar energy (like 3 of swords, 9 of swords and 5 of cups) I find that this oracle deck with it's 44 instead of 78 cards helps to get to the issue faster and I dont have to draw so many cards.

The little book is good too, tho it seems that some of the challenger (reversed) meanings are not so clear. But, my opinion of this may change with more use over time. I felt Colleen's down to earth vibe throughout the explanation of the cards, it felt more casual rather than scholarly- and I like that.

The art is good, but more on the goth side. There's a lot of unused areas and space for the written title of the card that I think should have been used to create a larger visual image. I like the artwork of the wisdom of avalon better. But in this deck, there's a lot more detail and things going on in the images- if only they were bigger and just a little brighter!

The cards are sturdy and almost large, a person with really small hands might struggle with shuffling. I was surprised by the gold gilding; something none of my other decks have. It makes me want to be more careful with them and if not, the under 15 price wont break the bank if I get new ones when the gold wears off.

Overall, I am looking forward to developing a life-long friendship with this deck. I will check back if I have any further insights or to compare to her wisdom of avalon deck should I get that one too.

I purchased this deck recently. I am a professional psychic reader and I have found this deck to be amazingly accurate. The artwork is also breathtakingly beautiful. Collette has connected with ancient forces that are very powerful and wise. These archetypes speak on a very deep and personal level and answer questions in a very moving way. I highly recommend this deck whether it is used for personal use or for clients.

These are the only cards I have ever written a review for. They also have the ability to give the most perfect response to any question I may have. However, they do come from a very spiritual/metaphysical perspective, which is another reason I find these one of my most favored decks. The descriptions are well written and the pictures are beautiful. These cards say things that no other deck I've had dared without needing to conform to traditional tarot deck structure. If these cards "call" to you, I'd say, take the leap and let them be another source of guidance. You won't regret it.

I am absolutely enthralled by this wonderful deck! If you are looking for direction then this is the deck for you. The cards are not only accurate but incredibly beautiful and magical! A powerful guidance system to help us find our way in the fearful and frenetic chaos we may be caught up in today.
