Portable wisdom snippets,

The book is well organized for having only 61 pages. Most pages containing two to three saying chosen from well know writings as the Upanishads or extrapolations by a know writer.
Such as: "Meditate and realize that this world is full of the presence of God." Shvetashvatara Upanishad Many of the sayings cover the same subject from a different angle. I am very fond of the "Hindu Teaching Stories." Most of them I knew already, however some are surprising. Most of the pictures were contributed by Vanessa Fletcher. In the long run you will want to read this many times. Contents: Introduction ... 8 1. Santana Dharma ...10 2. Brahman ... 18 3. Gnana Yoga ... 26 4. Bhakti Yoga ... 42 5. Karma Yoga ... 50 |
