5.0 out of 5 stars This is powerful!
For those of us who missed seeing Malcolm in person, this will give you a sense in why he is a sage of the hightest order. I am humbled at his way in which he makes us think. Very powerful.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissappointed brotha
I was very dissapointed with the content of this product. The audio was
very noisy and worse the content. I was expecting some nourishing thought
on the plight of black people akin to the teachings of Minister Farrakan
but I found profound hate speech. Malcolm sounded very hateful and the name calling over and over again of "blue eyed devils" was too...

Malcolm X's words are as true today as they were then. Unfortunately, not as much has changed as what we may think. He was so inflammatory and provocative; I can't imagine how "either side" took his heated messages when he first delivered them. Absolutely mindblowing. I wish I was there to witness his charismatic delivery and the strength of his testimony.

5.0 out of 5 stars POWERFUL!!!!!!, June 21, 2007

You will be amazed. Only after hearing his speaches I realized he was a powerful man. A man like that does not have a chance to live a long life in this world. Malcolm X speaks the truth and doesn't care if you like what he says or not. I love you Malcolm. I wish I was only alive to see you. May God rest your soul. Amen

Gives excellent insight into the brilliance of this great man, which hasn't been equaled by anyone else since. His life ended much too soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Low quality of an important recordings ., February 12, 2009
This review is from: Wisdom of Malcolm X (Audio CD)
Mr. Malik El Shabazz - aka Malcolm X - speeches are firey , powerful , mind opening and unfortunately a little bit racist in these recordings . Calling European Americans blue eyed devils every now and then , less alarming as it may be coming from a victim of racism , but it gets a little too much after a while . Thank God he discovered the real Islam and renounced Wallace Fard Muhammad and Elijah Muhammad blasphemous and racist teachings .

A two discs album , the first comprises of 15 tracks , the second 14 , and most of them are in low quality sound - Mr. Malik's voice is low most of the time - and there is no info about the places and dates of these recordings .

Other than that it's an enjoyable album . Best parts of his speeches is when he talks about migrating back to Africa , Liberals , the FBI , police brutality and when he mentioned the Jewish ku klux klan member incident that i think inspired the controversial film The believer .

5.0 out of 5 stars Relevant Today as it was Then, January 19, 2008

There is so much wisdom in the words of Malcolm X that still hold to this day. He was an insightful man who saw into the depths of the ills of this society. He may have been frozen in history as a black leader/activist and that is simply unfortunate and a function of the very ills that he pointed out. His transformation was brilliant and perhaps not of his own doing. In the end we are left to grapple with the perception of the angry Malcolm, the transformed Malcolm and at the end of the day - how to resolve the very issues that he pointed to in his speeches. This collection is highly recommended and a gift to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Malcolm at his best, July 21, 2009

This is Malcolm at his best. His words are as relevant today as they were when they were uttered so many years ago. It is a shame that more of his sermons are not available on CD. Malcolm was indeed a prophet who had no peer!
