5.0 out of 5 stars The wisdom of greatness, richness, and health
If you are going to buy Wallace Wattles, you may as well get this three books in one anthology. It is only two dollars extra.

It's an easy read, and it's highly useful. You can get rich by acting in a certain way, and having certain beliefs. I believe this already. The one concept that was new to to me the importance of gratitude, which activates the higher...

1.0 out of 5 stars Vague Book -Poor Printing - Copyright questions too.
Wallace Wattles was referenced in Rhonda Byrne's book, "The Secret." I found this on Amazon & bought it. It has positive, and typical, good values and guidance. But, VAGUE. He keeps saying you must live and work in a "CERTAIN WAY." However, it is never defined, or explained. He has a FORMULA - 1) ALL is made of a thinking STUFF. 2) If you think in this stuff, your...

If you are going to buy Wallace Wattles, you may as well get this three books in one anthology. It is only two dollars extra.

It's an easy read, and it's highly useful. You can get rich by acting in a certain way, and having certain beliefs. I believe this already. The one concept that was new to to me the importance of gratitude, which activates the higher vibrations of your mind, and assists mightily in manifesting what you desire.

Currently, I am reading the science of being great. It is a very simple straightforward book that anyone can follow.

Is this the foremost book on Law of Attraction? No. Yet it is still worth a read, and highly recommended. Other books that I highly recommend in area of interest are SeThe Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier, and Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don't. I hope this was helpful to you.

If you are looking for a "Life Manual" this is it. Sounds soooo simple and actually it is, if you want to control one thing in your life that will make a difference, learn to control your mind!

4.0 out of 5 stars Off autopilot, without glitz, and without drama, April 16, 2007
I was disappointed to read the reviews of those who did not feel enriched by the Wattles work. But I was enlightened. One poor fellow even lists items that he does not recognize as being viable components of the recommendations. Wow. Now I understand WHY 'The Secret' is such a hit. The techno-reverberating spoon-feed with interpretation and driving force is just necessary to break through so many engrained barriers.

Some fault-finders are unimpressed with the simplicity of the teachings, so I am lead to think they are NOT victims of teachings about how it is a paramount sin to be wealthy, because only those who abuse others can be wealthy. Unfortunately, I hear that from folks constantly --folks who are confining themselves to limited lifestyles by assuming that having less or being powerless guarantees some future home in heaven.

The folks who MOST need Wattles' health perspective (IMHO) are so busy telling the world about their aches and pains, seeing pricey specialists, and electing surgeries, they cannot IMAGINE living without pain, or even TRYING to demand more of life. It takes a rare capability to look at your own behavior and discern where you may be shooting yourself in the foot.

I hope everyone will take note of the remarks of BOTH naysayers and praisers so that they can approach these ideas with an open and inquisitieve mind, knowing that the impact could fall in either court. The Science of Getting Rich is not a get-rich-quick scheme, it is a how-to for living prosperously, as '..Being Well' is a how-to living in a healthy way. The value of the written (spoken) word depends on the reader (listener); whether you can recognize changes in your lifestyle that might improve your quality of life.

My comments concern the original Wattles printed work, not the mp3.
I give the material 4 stars only because of the aforementioned (earlier reviewer's remarks) low quality in typesetting and reproduction, so the mp3 has potential of being excellent, depending upon the voice and expression of the reader.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life changing book, August 31, 2007
This review is from: The Wisdom of Wallace D. Wattles - Including: The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Great & The Science of Being Well (Hardcover)
I have been involved in studying material of the general type contained in this book since the mid 1960's, and I've read a lot.Of them all this is absolutely the greatest book because it spells things out clearly and tells you exactly what to do to get t6he results you want in your life. I am recommending it to everyone and buying copies for loved ones. Buy the book and work with it. It could easily be the best purchase you ever make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Ole Wisdom, March 24, 2007

You have to clear your head of old habits, thoughts, the way you have always done things, etc. for this enlightened work. Mr. Wattles lays out the basic way of how we should (must) approach each day with our concept of wealth, self, and health. He shows us how to break out of our mold of 'how we have always done things', 'how we have always thought things' and gives us a different perspective of viewing life itself with 'self' being the nucleus in which to start. I highly recommend this book if you really want to change to being truly positive on your outlook with 'self' and gain knowledge on how to take back control of your life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Science of Getting Rich, Great & Well, May 15, 2007
This trio of books - really more like long essays is a quick read. It is very interesting to see the beginnings of the current "Secret" craze in this early 1900's work. Some of the examples are antiquated due to the period during which it was written, but the basic tenets are very much in line with current abundance and prosperity works I have read. Editors notes help to explain some of the prevalent thinking at the time the books were written.

This book is an excellent book and a must read for any individual who is interested in growing and developing a attitude of wealth, but unfornately this particular edition was edited, and some important information was left out.
