A tiny gem.,

This review is from: Wisdom from the Walls (Paperback)
Despite its extremely short length, this is a really fun book. Each of its 83 pages contains a single notable phrase (probably) found scribbled on a bathroom wall. Some are merely puzzling, some profound, and some beyond hysterical. Many would be great on a t-shirt. Personally, I'd love to have a t-shirt that said "Nuke a gay whale for Jesus." Maybe it's just me. Or perhaps "Some mornings it just doesn't seem worth it to gnaw through the leather straps." Or, more benignly, "Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas." While in college, I had a white-board on my door, and each morning, I would copy one page of this book onto the door. I got used to hearing my hallmates laughing outside my door pretty much every day.My one wish is that the book were a bit longer. |
