Christians won't hesitate to applaud an NFL star who gives his testimony about how Christ changed his life forever. We won't think twice when we are shown a video clip of him knocking an opponent silly on the field. We know football is a contact sport, so we accept it.
This book is written to teach Christian entrepreneurs and managers that business is a contact sport. Most business minded believers know they are charged to help fund the gospel and to work toward a wealth transfer in the last days (Prov. 13:22). Why do you think Jesus said we should be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves"? (Matt: 10:16). Managing people and making a profit while keeping our priorities of God, family and leaving a heritage is not an easy task. Yet, that is our calling.
I hope when you have finished this book along with daily prayer, you have learned how to use Godly Wisdom, how to constantly walk in faith, how to understand the law of giving, and most of all, learn how to walk in Love while playing hardball. That is the challenge.
About the Author
Jack Bailey is president of Bailey Business Consultants. He has
learned the ups and downs of starting business ventures from the
ground up. He has seen many of his business ventures grow to
unusual heights and has gained knowledge through the pains of
watching some of them walk through serious downturns.
His gains and losses in business has given him a special insight
into what it takes for an entrepreneur or officer of any corporation
to look at facts and wisely decide which road to take. With this book, Jack Bailey has managed to truly show what it means to be "wise as serpents and gentle as doves". So many of us Christians seem to think that the when we put the "sign of the fish" on our business cards or proclaim ourselves as "Christian Businessmen or "Businesspersons" that the windows of Heaven open and blessings, profits and success rain down upon us. Mr. Bailey shows us, through his experience, that it just doesn't work that way. If it did, Jesus would have counseled us to merely be "be gentle as doves".
This book has changed my perspective on Business both as a Christian and as a Christian Businessman.
