I really love Cheeze Waffies and they are very hard to find in our area.

There isn't another snack that is even remotely like these- I think there used to be, but it's been discontinued.

Most of the waffle crackers fell apart and the chest flaked off of the crackers.

I've been eating these since I was old enough to remember. My grandma always had them around her house. One of my earliest memories are of eating these tasty cheese crackers. Wise *used* to sell them off the web site, but they stopped selling to the public and now are only offered in the eastern states, thru grocers, not in Texas where I live, so they are a little hard to find in the middle or western states.

As a subsitute, when I start to *jones*, I usually can find "Old London Waffle Snacks", which are essentially the same thing. My guess WISE makes them for Old London, but I don't know for sure, but you could fool me as for the taste, style of cracker, and looks...I'm sure it's the same thing.

As so often happens when products get shifted from one company to another, these Wise Cheez Waffies are no where near the quality of the Cheez Waffies that Old London made when I was younger. Then, I couldn't wait to get a cylinder of waffies from the store. These Wise waffies, on the other hand, are but a pale reflection of what I remember they were like. The cheese filling is definitely reminiscent of the original, but seems to have a bit of aftertaste. The waffle crackers, on the other hand, are nothing like the originals. The package says crispy, the mouth says "really"? My packages are well within the sell-by date and the waffle crackers are dense and somewhat chewy... not at all like the waffies I remember. I'm not sure what Wise did to the recipe for the crackers once they acquired the rights to it (can we think cost-cutting?), but whatever it was has failed the "I remember what these were like" test. Wise, wise up and realise that there are a lot of folks out here my age who remember and love the old Cheez Waffie taste and texture and would be willing to pay a little more to get back to that recipe and processing. Just my two cents worth.

I think I have been eating Cheez Waffles on and off for over 25 years. I hadn't had them in a couple years but was in a convenience store a little while ago where I saw these in the rack. I bought a bag and ate the entire bag in about 15 minutes.

Thus began my new addiction to Cheez Waffles.

It is difficult to find them. Wegmans does not carry them in my area, nor any of the other large grocery chains. I used to find these in just about every gas station though. But now that I'm trying to find them, I don't find them very often. When I do, I buy several bags to hold me over.

One glimmer of hope is that I recently saw these in WalMart so maybe I'll have a steady supply for a while.

You're either going to love these or hate them. Clearly I love them. I eat them like I eat Oreos... I twist the two halves apart and scrape the cheez off with my teeth. I'm pretty sure if I actually read the label, I'd not want to eat these. That's why I don't look at the label. There is room for guilty pleasures and this is one of them for me.

I don't know why. Everyone I share them with, like the item. I seem to be only able to find them at Amazon. This last batch seemed to be not as crispy as I remembered, but I still enjoy them. The pantry shelf is full of them since I bought 18 bags of them. Thanks for providing them.

My son remembers eating Cheez Waffies when he was 4 or 5 years old (he is now 29). For a while this was the only thing he ate. He loves them now just as much, but now they are a snack instead of a meal.

I was looking for Old London and I found my favorite...Wise which I ate in the 60s!! I could not find any cheese waffles around here in S.A Texas except for some stale Swiss Cheese flavor at Albertsons which were so bad I threw them out.

HEB quit carrying the Old London. Why? They always sold out.

I am so happy!! These were fresh and crispy.
