Whether you're looking for a crowd-pleasing dip, a masterful marinade or an exciting addition to salads, Wish-Bone's bold dressings provide a burst of flavor.
Want a really full-flavored dressing? Try Wish-Bone Robusto Italian Dressing. We've taken our famous Italian dressing recipe, filled with Italian herbs and spices, and then we packed it full of even more herbs, seasonings and flavors for a taste that's even more zesty and robust. Delicious on salads and great as a marinade.
The Wish-Bone Story started almost 60 years ago thanks to a single recipe for Italian dressing and an ingenious American soldier.
In 1945, Phillip Sollomi opened a family-style chicken restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri and decided to name his place, "The Wish-Bone."
Phil's restaurant was an immediate success, but in 1948, he decided his restaurant was missing a certain...kick. He decided to ask his mother for the spicy salad dressing recipe she brought from her native Sicily. He thought his customers might like it. And they did. Today salad lovers can enjoy dozens of delicious Wish-Bone dressings with the salads they love.
Serving Size 6 | Prep Time: 10 minutes
Marinate Time: 30 minutes | Cook Time: 12 minutes
Pour 1/4 cup Wish-Bone Robusto Italian Dressing over chicken in large, shallow nonaluminum baking dish or plastic bag. Cover, or close bag, and marinate in refrigerator, turning occasionally, 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Meanwhile, combine tomatoes, onion, basil and 1/4 cup Dressing in medium bowl. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
Remove chicken from marinade, discarding marinade. Grill or broil chicken, turning once and brushing frequently with remaining 1/4 cup Dressing, until chicken is thoroughly cooked, about 12 minutes. Serve tomato mixture over chicken.

This is a good, strong dressing, not wimpy like some are.
This is a dressing that I am very fond of and while it used to be available locally, it has disappeared from store shelves in Washington and Wyoming.
This tasty dressing is great on salads but I use it more often for marinating beef and chicken.
Love this dressing, wish they sold the fat free version in stores in Fl..Published 18 days ago by Joey V.
This is my husband's favorite salad dressing. He has always leaned toward Italian dressings, but this trumps them all. Read morePublished 18 days ago by Julie Johnston
I prefer Wishbone Italian salad dressing over Kraft. Wishbone has great flavor, Kraft is very pungent and sharp compared to the very flavorful Wishbone. Read morePublished 25 days ago by Jackie
