What drew me to this book was the fact that it had the same title as a poem that I had once read. I thought the writing contained such lovely sentiments and hoped that the book might, too. It turns out that the author had taken the basis of that very poem and expanded on it beautifully.

I WISH YOU ENOUGH is as follows:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough Hellos to get you through the final Goodbye.

Bob Perks took these verses and added to them with short stories, quotes, a bit of poetry and a scripture verse for each one. He did a lovely job of bringing the thoughts to life.

This is a sweet little book with an uplifting message. The page artistry and photographs are gorgeous. This would certainly make a excellent gift, though I personally plan to keep mine and hand it down to my kids. I will need to get more copies to share and I think you may find yourself doing the same.

Bob Perks as long been my favorite writer and I throughly enjoyed his book.
It is uplifting, inspiring and encouraging. I plan to purchase more to
give as gifts. I highly recommend this wonderful book to others.

Yes! Bob and this book are truly a gift! A gift worth reading, owning, and sharing!!! I have read and enjoyed Bob's writing previously, but this compilation encompasses all sentiments for the reader wrapped up into one beautiful package! Need I say more. Thank you Bob! May we never take you for granted and your boundless ability to positively touch our lives.

I think the title of the book really says it all, "I Wish You Enough: Embracing Life's Most Valuable Moments...One Wish at a Time". There are 128 pages to this 'little' book by Bob Perks, and every one of them is an inspiration!!

This is the book to give the graduate, the newly married, the new parent, the new grandparent, those having a rough patch in their life, ANYONE!! There are short stories, a verse of scripture, some poetry, etc. with each Wish. One wish for example is, "I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive."

We all are guilty of taking every day for granted, everyone we love, our family, our friends, and the things that happen to us whether they are good or bad. We are all guilty of it! Read this book and you will begin to see things differently. You will begin to appreciate more. You will in a way become that little kid who is curious to learn it all because you are seeing things with new eyes!

Get this book for yourself - then get this book for all of those you love!! This gets an A+ from me!!!

This is a very simple book with some great pictures, light hearted and a little pick me up. It would be great as a stocking stuffer or great little add to a gift.

This little book is a delightful pastiche of scriptural meditation, personal essay and homily laid out on bright photography and artwork. Perfect for occasional reading and meditation, it is very nicely put together in a small format. Loosely organized around key topics--for example, "Loss"--each broad section includes multiple pages of well-written and optimistic essays--for example "I learned to live," "Even in death there is perfection," and "The secret to a long life." Poetry and appropriate scriptural verse fill out the general topical sections in a nice way. I would envision this book as a very nice presentation gift for a multitude of occasions--graduation, baptism, marriage, death, sadness and occasions of great accomplishment or achievement. Reminiscent of some of the works of Max Lucado, such asCast of Characters: Common People in the Hands of an Uncommon God or Imagine Your Life Without Fear. Very nicely envisioned and produced.

This is one of the most enjoyable and inspirational books I have ever read.

Based on a delightful poem by the same, this fantastic little book is awesome. In the hectic, materialistic world we live in, this book is a breath of fresh air. It is a reminder to be Thankful for what we have, not for what we don't. Perk reopens our eyes and hearts to the abundance all around us, that we often take for granted. I highly recommend this book to anyone having their own personal rainy day or as a gift to anyone who needs some inspiration.

I have had this book for quite some time and decided to send it to each of my daughters for their birthday this year. I have gotten two from Amazon at this point and will buy another before October. It is a very positive book and certainly adds to my enjoyment of life. It gives me ideas to attempt to be a better person toward others.

The title of the book comes from a seven-line homily that was told to Perks by a man in an airport.

Each chapter is a one-word title from the homily: Sun, Rain, Happiness, Pain, Gain, Loss, Hellos, and Good-by.

Perks presents stories aimed at each title. In the chapter on Sun, he talks about flowers reaching for the sun to fulfill their potential and how people do that, too. Even if you have been having a hard time, you can reach out and reconnect to start growing again.

Perks' Christian beliefs are sprinkled throughout the book. He uses Bible quotes to underscore his stories.
