Gloria Gaynor is back! I Wish You Love is her first international release in 15 years and boy it was well worth the wait. The CD has a positive uplifting feel right from the opening dance track 'Got To Be Forever' through to the R 'n B cuts such as 'Running' and the brilliant Survive tinged 'Stronger'. There is something for everyone here and dance fans will be especially happy. Gloria's voice is as articulate and compelling as ever. I was particularly impressed with the sweet ballad 'Let It Rain' which sent shivers down my spine, simply stunning! It is rare to find a CD today where every track leaves you wanting more but this is one such recording. The title cut, I Wish You Love is a future number one record if ever there was one; the message is love and the clever vocals and lyrics make the point in a very now, electro-funk style, sheer class! This CD is a triumphant return by the glorious Ms Gaynor and the voice and production has never been better. I must add that the delightful lady is also looking mouth-wateringly good too! Just check out her video for the current single 'I Never Knew' and get ready to pick your jaw up from the floor, she is sizling hotttt. I predict that the single will top the charts before too long and if there is any justice the album will be up there too. Be good to yourself and buy this CD today. THIS ALBUM POINTS OUT WHAT A SHAME IT IS WHEN SOMEONE GETS PIGEONHOLED AND IDENTIFIED WITH ONE SONG AND DECADE; TO MISS THIS ALBUM WOULD BE A MISTAKE. GLORIA'S VOICE IS AS GOOD AND CLEAR AS EVER AND THE SONGWRITING AND PRODUCTION ON THIS ALBUM ARE FAR BETTER THOSE FROM, "THE DAY." THE FACT IS, THAT GLORIA HAS GROWN IN HER TASTE FOR MUSIC, WRITERS AND PRODUCERS, AND EACH SONG ON THESE CD'S IS A COMPLETE DELIGHT.
OH....AND I CHALLENGE YOU TO MEMORIZE/SING ALONG WITH THE LYRICS TO THE GREAT TITLE CUT.....GOOD LUCK!

Two years ago, I heard Gloria Gaynor's album. I loved and STILL love ALL of IT! Gloria sounds superb on all these modern dance numbers! One song I can't stop playing is All The Man That I Need, which is so catchy and has the funkiest dance groove given to her since her I Will Survive days. Just No Other Way, I Wish You Love, and the 1979-sounding Just Keep Thinking about You just shows her in her finest form. I liked the Rob Fusari produced songs. This is the same guy that's done Will Smith and Destiny Child's songs and here he is with Gloria, giving her some nice songs too. The European dance producers on here did a fine job giving Gloria some dynamite songs to fit with the energy of her voice. This ranks right up there with her best hits of the late '70s, bringing her right into the millennium. A very danceable and entertaining album from one of the great divas of dance music!!!! You've still got it, girl!!!!!

The lady with one of the greatest voices in the music business is back with a vengeance and what a triumph it is !

Gloria Gaynor is back! The original Diva that brought us "Never Can Say Goodbye" and "I Will Survive" returns with 12 wonderful tracks, plus 2 versions of "I Will Survive" on the bonus CD (recorded live in Brazil - one is a Spanglish version). The 3rd bonus mix is the Hex Hector HQ2 Remix of her dance floor anthem "I Never Knew", a joyous tune full of love, life and energy. The CD collection includes the original beautiful ballad of "I Never Knew". Additional highlights include the quiet title track "I Wish You Love", the opening 'disco-style' "Gotta Be Forever", the popular dance songs "Just No Other Way", "Just Keep Thinking About You" and "No One Can Love You More". Gloria gets in touch with her R&B side on "Let it Rain" and "You Keep Running". The bonus CD also features 2 high quality (even in full screen mode) music video's of "I Never Knew" (the original and remixed versions), plus song lyrics, history, a bio and some of Gloria's recipes. A little something for everyone and a must-have for Gloria Gaynor fans! Diva-licious!

What a great come-back album for Gloria Gaynor! In fact, I think this is her very best yet - despite her truly outstanding disco classics ("I Will Survive" and "Never Can Say Goodbye" of course), I always thought her Polydor albums of the 70s were too much hit-and-miss (not at all comparable to Donna Summer's albums). Gloria's last big single was her Hi-NRG rendition of "I Am What I Am" (1983) - she never really disappeared but kept (re-)recording over the next 15 years on several obscure labels - and with varying degrees of success. Thankfully, her involvement on the Giorgio Moroder Tribute (2000) with the Billboard Dance Chart hit "Last Night" brought her back in the limelight, and it's absolutely wonderful that LOGIC believes in her potential and supports her so strongly as they do with this magnificently packaged set. 12 new strong cuts - great dance tracks like the opening "Gotta Be Forever", "All The Man That I Need" (get this out on single!), "No One Can Love Me More", the former single "Just Keep Thinking About You", and ... oh yes ... the Hex Hector mix of her new smash "I Never Knew" - the two video versions (dance & ballad version) are included on the bonus disc! Gloria's voice has lost nothing of its power, you'll note that instantly - she sounds warm and emotional, and the producers have really taylor-made the songs to suit her. As modern as it sounds - there are several hip R&B dance tracks ("I Wish You Love" and "Stronger") - it never makes Gloria sound out-of-date with the songs, everything is really done with care. It's fantastic that great artists of yesteryear get a second chance - congratulations, Gloria! I wish you love!

Strange and weird, I was secretly praying that if Gloria would hit the international market one day, someday, with a brand new album; she should do it better and more professional than those who couldn't succeed with a second come-back again before. Remember Donna Summer with her VH1 Live-Encore album? Have we heard enough of her?
Gloria was always special to me. I remember myself dancing, caught in the rhythm of "I Will Survive" in my first decade in my life, and I never wanted this lady to fail.
Luckily this Gloriaus Lady is back again, with an awesome look and voice, better than ever, and proving herself again and again while singing "I've got my feet back on solid ground!". She opens the new masterpiece with "Gotta be Forever" followed by "Gone Too Long" two of which are the most appealing songs of the album in my opinion and then leads the way with "I Never Knew", a magnificent piece of art. Either the original or the Hex Hector mix, it doesn't matter, this song will surely grow on you.
Let the party begin, the queen of Disco will reign!

I have not heard much of glorias songs, some of her older stuff, i was in florida and found this cd and baught with out knowing any of the songs on it. i fell in love with ever song on the cd. they are all dance songs, with 2 ballads. including a great re-make of dance diva Amber's "Let it Rain". i hope her next album is just as good, and for any of you out there think her 2004 cd the answer is new, its not, just some new mixes and all the tracks form her 98 album oh, what a life. the bonus cd has the EXCELLENT remix of i never knew by hex hector and soe great live versions of i will survive. this is a must have for every one. it is one of the best cds i have ever heard. get and you will love it!

I bought the single "I never knew" in Florida. The liner notes said from her upcoming album. I searched and searched and no one had the album for sale. Thank-you Amazon. I luckily snatched up the last copy available here.
This album is jam-packed w/quality tunes. I would recommend this album to Gloria's fans and anyone else who enjoys R&B.

Excitement and Emotion; that's Gloria's new CD -~ 'I WISH YOU LOVE'. What a beautiful piece of music. Congratulations to GLORIA GAYNOR who outperforms again! I, too, can see (and hoping for!) lots of remixes from these tracks. The only thing I would say is that the songs are too short and that's only because I want to hear more of GG! It's very hard to pick a favourite track. "I NEVER KNEW" is a beautiful ballad, "GOTTA BE FOREVER" is a grabber introduction, "JUST NO OTHER WAY" is a beautifully rhythmic love song. "I WISH YOU LOVE" is hip and kewl and "STRONGER" gets your feet to come alive. Take a walk in the rain with someone close and "LET IT RAIN" will drift through your thoughts and be on your lips. Gloria's music is an inspiration, puts a smile on the world and a dance in the street. The lyrics, videos, recipes and facts are a FANtastic addition to the CD. Buy the CD and you will get more than you expected from the Queen of Disco whose style and voice have moved into the twenty-first century. Let Gloria Gaynor take you on another love journey. You will more than survive!
