Just picked this up today. This is a great little fun game for younger kids and adults who love Christmas and enjoy simple, casual mini-games. What other game lets you bowl over elves (who, incidentally, make various humorous comments before being hit by the ball)? You'll also get to bounce a reindeer through the sky on presents, make hot chocolate (just the way the elf wants it), put logs on the fire or cook marshmallows, sing along to Christmas carols (with lyrics displayed on-screen), decorate a Christmas tree, open each day of the Advent calendar... and lots of other little activities and games. They're all simple and lighthearted. It'll make a great little stocking stuffer to keep family and friends occupied on Christmas day.

I tried this game for about an hour and I enjoyed it right away. It's one of the games that I can just leave on my tv while I listen to some christmas carols on the radio (the radio in the game that plays plenty of christmas tunes). I started by playing Deck the Halls which is like a puzzle game that you have to put 3 like-items next to eachother to erase them off the board. I played that for a while, moved onto some of the other mini games, mailed a letter to Santa which I think he replied back today.

This will be a great present for the month of December. You can decorate your tree with colored balls, ornaments, ribbons, you name it! And everyday in the month of December unlocks a new ornament I believe on the Advent Calendar. So it really is a lot of fun. I'm going to buy it and use it everyday in December just to see what is new. Great game that you wouldn't expect to be pretty good.

Great game for kids and adults who may be looking to find Christmas again and get back in the mood of loving it! [This game] Made me feel like a young kid again.

I have to give it (5) stars because I've never really seen anything like it. No, it doesn't rank as a favorite for myself, as a fuddy duddy adult, but it is so cute and charming. While there is no thrill for me to "write to Santa" or "paste stickers" here and there, overall it's just full of whimsy. There's a search game that makes you think of "where's Waldo"...and making hot chocolate for elves, wow, how fun is that!!! And you can decorate a Christmas tree. When I was doing that, memories of childhood came rushing back. Putting bulbs of the same color next to each other would get a reprimand from MOM: "no, don't put it there. There's already a red bulb there!" So in this game, naturally my choice to stick all the same color bulbs on one section of the tree and say, "Aha, take THAT, Mom!" All in fun and full of love, tho. And there are Christmas carols. No, they're not sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (who needs THAT!) so they're light and fun. The kicker? ELF BOWLING. Wow, 10 little elves all lined up and ready to take a hit from Santa's huge ornament-like bowling ball. Of course there is also the advent calendar, and other little ditties. Yes, it is for kids. But at Christmas, aren't we ALL kids? Buy it for the fun. Make it fun. Maybe they could have worked a snowman building or a snowball fight into. Maybe they'll make a version of that next year. :) Recommendation is to have in use before Christmas if you want to make full use of the advent calendar. Otherwise you'll have to do it over again next year.

This game is so much fun to play! Everyone with kids need to buy this! Really gets you in the holiday spirit!

I, and my family, really enjoyed this game. There are activities small children can enjoy such as putting "stickers" in a scrapbook or decorating a tree, and those with more experience and dexterity for games can play one of the mini games. I never did reach the highest level on Deck the Halls. As a previous reviewer noted, this game has an Advent calendar aspect to it that is based on date, so you can't unlock things on the calendar unless it is in December (and the calendar locks back up at some point in January). However, I do believe you can re-set the date so you can "fake it" into believing it is December if you so choose. I signed on after it locked and it did ask me if the date was correct. I didn't try it, but I suspect that if you answered "no", you could probably re-set. And, the locking is only for one aspect of the game. You can still play with most of the components (although certain options may be "locked"). But, why would you want to? It simply would be more fun played during the season for which it was intended.

The only thing I really found annoying was the radio with the carols. I would have much preferred instrumentals rather than the singing. The voices used for the singing, well to be kind, let's just say the voices were not very musical. Therefore, I never left the radio on.

There are very few games on the market that can span a number of skill levels and still be fun for all. This is definitely a keeper for any family.

This game is fun! I have a 7 yr. old and 14 yr. old daughter, they both enjoy the different activities. It includes 4 player mode which allows us all to play together! While, we set up the tree and put up our decorations we had the game running in the background with the Christmas Carols playing and the fire blazing. The fire is more cartoon like but I still like it, and the fire sounds are realistic. I am happy with this purchase. I will put it away with the Christmas decorations and look forward to getting it out each year.

I have a child with autism, so while he's 14, he plays at a much lower level and he LOVES this game! My 16yo and I love it too. Mind you it's not a difficult game to master but it will get you in the Christmas spirit and make you want to log in each day and do the advent calendar. For $15-20, you can't go wrong with this game.

This is a fun little game to pack away with your Christmas decorations and pull out every year to get into the spirit of the season. If you're the type who has a collection of holiday DVDs you like to watch every year, or you start playing the Christmas carol stations around Thanksgiving, then you are a person who loves Christmas and you will enjoy this game. My kids are 13 and 11 and I thought they might be a little old for this one, but they love it. Each has a different favorite game. The real fun comes in playing the head to head competitions. Who's the fastest hot chocolate maker in your house? This game will prove who has those bragging rights.

With four player slots, each person can personalize their own tree and open their own advent calendar. Personal high scores on games are rewarded with additional ornaments for the virtual tree.

A modest investment. You will probably get more hours of enjoyment out of this than your average Christmas DVD. I reserve 5 star ratings for truly superior products. While amusing, this is no Super Mario Galaxy.

Recommended for people of all ages who enjoy Animal Crossing, Muppet Christmas specials, or Disney animated movies.

I gave this game to my Granddaughters (6 and 11) They had a ball with it. How come this is not out in the stores?!!!!! Your kids are missing out on a lot of fun! Inexpensive and challenging yet easy to play. Good for gifts. Jeannie
