A grand slam from the Price Sisters!,
This review is from: Wishbound (Paperback)
This was the first book I ever read by Stella and Audra Price, and boy did I fall in love! I can't put into words what their writing is like- you have to read it for yourself!!WISHES Janey Duvall is a tough-as-nails woman whose life is running her contract company. No, not contract as in record deals or home loans. Contract as in murder-for-hire. One of her small pleasures in life is irritating one of her boorish regular clients, otherwise known as the prince of hell. But when she refuses to budge on sending all of her assassins overseas to help him "take care" of a problem, he decides to call on Nick Marsh. Nick Marsh is a devious but very sexy Djinn who takes on the assignment of convincing Janey to change her mind. He has license to convince her however he sees fit, and he plans on having a lot of fun being persuasive. The plan? Seduce her into doing anything he asks, and trick her into taking a deal: three wishes for 100 years as his consort. What does her becoming his consort have to do with his assignment? Nothing. It has to do with the fact he's a Djinn, and a very tricky one at that! GLAMOUR When one of Janey's top assasins fails to check in on an important assignment, Janey starts to wonder if her employee has gone rogue. The contract deadline is fast approaching, and Janey knows if she wants it done right, she has no choice but to go to Beijing herself. After entertaining some very motivating ideas involving himself and Janey in the foreign place, he decides to go along. But once they get there, they learn the problem goes a little bit deeper than a rogue assassin, and it's going to take a little investigating to get to the bottom of it. Nick calls in for a little help from the demon prince, who sends a vampire named Mal to help. Even with the extra help, it's still going to be up to Nick to to place a glamour on Janey, allowing her to go undercover. Without knowing what they're truly dealing with here, he could be putting her at risk. It's going to take his magic and her skills as a trained assassin to get to the bottom of what's been going on in China. Without getting Janey killed. Wishbound is a delightful anthology that contains first two stories in the Duvall, Inc. series. Stella and Audra Price take characters that romance readers might normally think of as villains and turn them into the hero and heroine! The characters' first interaction may be a little shocking, but you quickly become completely fascinated with seeing how the "bad guys" interact within a romantic relationship. The authors do a fantastic job getting you to see the story from the characters perspective. You will love the characters not only in spite of, but BECAUSE of their lack of conscience! Now don't get me wrong, Janey and Nick aren't evil, and they do love each other, but to be fair, she kills people for a living and his favorite pastime is pissing her off. But the fact that Stella and Audra turn these into your favorite qualities of the characters just shows how much talent they have for writing! If you're looking for a fresh and fun read with plenty of hot sex and dry humor, look no further than Wishbound! Stella and Audra Price will rock your socks off! -Mandy Briggs for RoguesandRomance.com

Wishes can get you in trouble...or make your dreams come true!,
By Lucien Calanor "Lucien Calanor" (Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Wishbound (Paperback)
The first two stories in the Duvall, Inc. series from sister team Stella and Audra Price is so engaging I read it in one sitting. Don't you just LOVE the books that you can't put down until the very bitter end? Both stories involve Nick Marsh, a Djinn, and his love interest, Janey Duvall as well and a few other very interesting characters that you will fall in love with.If you ever found a genie in a bottle, do you think they'd have a wish of their own? Well Nick Marsh might not be in a bottle, but he's got only one wish after spending a night keeping Janey Duvall occupied. The problem is, she's the one who has to make the wish. Will she do it? Read it and find out!

If you are a fan of Stella and Audra's work, you will not be disappointed in this anthology filled with erotica at its best. I must say it isn't anything like any erotica I've read, and I mean that in the best way possible. Don't take my word for it, buy the book and be swept away. The hairs on the back of your neck will be standing on end, long after you've turned the last page.

Make a Wish...,
By Kayleigh Jamison "Kayleigh Jamison" (Baltimore-Washington Metro Area) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Wishbound (Paperback)
Perhaps my favorite series by the Price sisters, Duvall, Inc. follows the lives of a Djinn Prince, Marsh, and his beautiful but deadly consort, Janey. Better still, the series allows a glimpse of my own favorite Eververse character and the world's lone vampire, Malcom Frost. Gritty, raw, and deliciously tempting, Wishbound is a must for any fan of urban fantasy romance.-Kayleigh Jamison

WOW... just WOW,
This review is from: Wishbound (Paperback)
What a way to start out such a great series. Stella and Audra Price have definitely done it with the Djinns. If you love paranormal romance and want to read something different other than vamps and weres... definitely read this. It has action and a lot of hotness to it. Wishbound includes two stories Wishes and Glamour. Two great stories in one book... how could you go wrong. It start with Wishes and intro to the characters. Nicodemus Marsh (Marsh) is contracted my Sean Taylor (Casha - Demon) to contact Janey Duvall who runs a very exclusive assassin company. A woman as a hitman... WOO HOO. Marsh and Janey are super hot for each other and get involved in a whirlwind romance. Janey is very sick and is granted 3 wishes from Marsh who happens to be a Djinn, a very solitude race. He is looking for a true companion, however he can't say that. But the wishes will cost her... 100 years of being his sex slave.. or will she.. What will her wishes be? In Glamour you get into the action and adventure that the two get involved in. They travel to Beijing to take care of an assassin that had not yet taken place. But why didn't her employee take care of the target? You also meet new characters and races in this book from the ultra sexy vamp Malcolm to a Hypno Fey. What will happen when Marsh and Janey team up with Taylor's associate Malcolm in the race to take care of the target on time? What other mysteries in Marsh's life will he reveal to Janey? A great read.. you have action, adventure, mystery and a whole lot of HOTNESS! There is a lot of mystery behind Marsh and the way that he just get under Janey's skin is just revolting but hot at the same time. These are two great characters however be warned to make sure you have a glass of ice water and a fan ready.

YES! YES! YES! I'm hooked!,
This review is from: Wishbound (Paperback)
The two stories ["Wishes" and "Glamour"] that make up "Wishbound" pulled me right in and didn't let me go until I hit the end! Oh man, I knew Stella and Audra Price were a fabulous writing team, but this proves it."Wishes" is where you meet Janey and Marsh. Their reality is set up and then you're taken for a wild ride of a courtship. Actually, not courtship, they both take exactly what they want from the other, it just so happens to match up. Fortunately you aren't through. Right when you think you have your breath back and all is peaceful in Rome, "Glamour" puts you on a plane to Beijing. The grip of passion for each other and the work they came to do is so tight you can't stop reading until the story is done. Janey is all woman and manages to handles being in charge of a crew of assassins without breaking a sweat. As for Marsh, well, I adore him and am dying to meet his parents. Enough, I'm off to pick out my next Price sister offering! |
