2006 reissue of this 1977 album, their sophomore release, featuring two bonus tracks: 'Rue De Chance' and 'Roxy Roller'. Canada's Sweeney Todd was the glam-like outfit that gave rise to Nick Gilder [who earned immortality with the 1978 hit ‘Hot Child In The City’], and multi-platinum and gold disc artist Bryan Adams. Gilder, with guitarist Jim McCulloch, had formed Sweeney Todd - an obviously theatrical pop 10cc-type-unit, that quickly found a huge following. After signing to London Records, and thanks to the delectable groupie-ode ‘Roxy Roller’, written by Gilder and McCulloch, Sweeney Todd soon seemed to rule the Canadian airwaves. After Nick Gilder and Jim McCulloch left, the band’s focus and creative impetus was eventually taken on by the then 16 year-old Bryan Adams, who had enthusiastically pestered for an audition. After joining, Bryan got down to work recording If Wishes Were Horses with the band.
