More About the Author

Maggie Dana's first riding lesson, at the age of five, was less than wonderful. In fact, she hated it so much, she didn't try again for another three years. But all it took was the right instructor and the right horse and she was hooked for life.

Born and raised in England, Maggie now makes her home on the Connecticut shoreline, where she divides her time between hanging out with the family's horses and writing her next book in the Timber Ridge Riders series. She also writes women's fiction and her first novel, Beachcombing, was published in 2009 by Macmillan, UK.

A Kid's Review
Kerry Logan loves living with her best friend Holly Chapman and Holly's mom at Timber Ridge Stables. The only thing she needs to make her life complete is a horse of her own. She has some money she was paid for her work helping with the movie that was filmed at the stables, but she can't find a horse for that price. Finally, she goes to an auction, and finds a little chestnut mare that will end up in the slaughterhouse without her help. She buys the horse, in spite of everyone telling her all it will ever be good for is a big pet. Kerry knows that together, she and Tapestry can show everyone that wishes can come true.
