A Wish Received, May 9, 2008
This review is from: Wishing: How to Fulfill Your Heart's Desires (Paperback)
Elizabeth Harper's book, Wishing, is an accessible book that provides the reader simple exercises for manifesting what their heart is seeking. Wishing is a book not just about receiving but more about growing into a being that lives in love-and in that living receives what the soul is longing for. I found this book practical-it is beautifully put together-and I found the content to be a good primer for living life fully. Elizabeth is a wonderful presence as a workshop presenter and person and I believe this book is a beautiful extension of her.

This review is from: Wishing: How to Fulfill Your Heart's Desires (Paperback)
The best selling book "The Secret" got us all started with "wishes", but after reading it I was left unfulfilled and wanting for more. I needed practical steps as to how to "see" those wishes through, how to manifest the world of my desires. This is were Elizabeth Harpers book "Wishing" took over, it provided me with step by step practical tools in which to unearth the "seeds" of manifestation. She guides you step-by-step how to plant the seeds that will grow the "garden" of your dreams. I was amazed how easily Elizabeth guided me; she was able to connect me with the vision of my dreams. I am here to tell you that through Elizabeth's guidance my wishes have materialized right before my very eyes. "Wishing" is a must read for all, this book will change your life. Many thanks to the author for this invaluable resource!

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes..., August 30, 2008
This review is from: Wishing: How to Fulfill Your Heart's Desires (Paperback)
The only trouble I really had going into this beautiful book, was the title. I thought to myself that hardcore skeptics were going to see this book and think to themselves, "Wishing? Well, it takes a lot more than wishing to make things happen in our lives..." But maybe that is what we have all been conditioned to believe and so we "grow up" and forget all about wishing...all about magic...all about knowing and feeling that our deepest desires are things that are already all ready in our hearts and minds and souls and all we have to do is believe that our desires want us as much as we want them and through virtually no effort of our own, they can and will come true - but we have to believe.
"Save it for the flower bed, hippie!"
But really, this is a magical book. I read it to my "inner child". I literally placed a picture of myself at 2 1/2 years old and read very outloud very slowly and very deliberately. I could feel my heart opening more and more. There were a few times where I just wept with joy at the beauty at it all. I could feel layer after layer of old, encrusted beliefs melting away exposing the "original innocence" that I firmly believe is who and what we truly are.
I know there are some people who are thinking to themselves, "Enough of the mushy stuff...did you get results?" Of course, my child, I got results and not only did I get results I truly wished to have happen, I received things far better than I could have ever possibly dreamed of. Why? Because I surrendered my dreams and my desires to something that knows more than I do. At the end of each 'wishing session' I would say with humble confidence; "This or something even better is now coming into my life..." and guess what? It would show up in ways I never would have expected and faster than my "logical brain" could conceive of.
I believe the reason why some of us become skeptical in the first place is because we literally have to "grow up too fast". We have a lot of wounded and hurt people in this world because they were told that all they have to do is work hard and all their dreams will come true. Deep down we know that that's a lie. A well meaning lie, but a lie just the same. I'm not knocking hard work...hard work is good...hard work does build character... hard work does prepare the mind and soul for this life we are living, but maybe, just maybe we need to learn how to work with a smile on our face.
To quote another Disney song, "Whistle while you work..."
Be happy now. Don't think that your hard work will one day make you happy, be happy while you engage in your hard work and you will soon find out that it will become a joy and a bliss and bring more to you than you could ever imagine. Follow the direction of your own happiness.
I love this book. It's simple to read and to understand. It's practical as well as magical. You could, if you really wanted to, finish it in a day or two, but why? Let the magic linger on. It's not a race...there's no finish line...we are eternal beings now and from this moment forward, we have forever and one day to become all that Spirit has already imagined for us to become.
I wish you well on your journey.
Peace and Blessings,
john, 'the Light Coach'
