My daughters who are aspiring astronomists are in love with this book! Highly recommended...easy read for kids but full of information that they can understand!

Great book for teaching astronomy to kids. I have taught astronomy to children, and taken kids on astronomy outings, for over thirty years, and found many good books to help in my teaching and demos.
Wishing upon a Star is my new favorite. I still use other books, but I grab this one first. I especially enjoy reading kids the stories behind the constellations.
I do wish the stories were slightly longer, a bit more complete, and the writing could be more attractive. But that is a quibble. I love this book, and have enjoyed using it with kids and families again and again.

I am an Education major, and have been having to design a unit on Stars and Constellations. This book has been a God send! It has the legends behind some of the constellations, and activities/crafts that kids could do to go along with them!This is a must if you have kids or are a teacher. I really can't wait to get more in the series!
