5.0 out of 5 stars Cute & easy
I love these little stars! I used all 100 of them as packing peanuts for my niece's birthday present. Needless to say, she loved it. They're very easy to make, and kind of relaxing in a zen-like way. One tip for the reviewer who said that her kids had a hard time making the stars- I folded the instruction card so that step one was facing out. Then I clipped it with a...

3.0 out of 5 stars dull and expensive
The paper quality is good, but the colors are a bit dull. Although there are two sides of each strand, sometimes the colors are too close and don't show up very well. Needless to say, I was disappointed by the variations of colors. Also, I think the price is too expensive for 100 stars. I bought it because it was convenient at the time. But now I would just rather cut out...

Then I clipped it with a jumbo paper clip. I slide the paper under the clip to make aligning the first fold easy. It never fails, and that first fold is the hardest. After that, it's cake. Kids (and adults)love making and receiving these. This kit is worth every penny!

This kit contains everything you need to make 100 tiny origami stars. The directions are very detailed and the stars are so cute. They finish to be less than 1" across. They look very complex and are sure to impress everyone who sees them but they are actually very simple to make. The stars are fun to make and fun to give out.

I got this book and I started doing it immeaditly. It is so easy and fun. Once you get going, it's hard to stop! My mom had to take it away and hide it so I'd have something to do on the long care rides for summer vacation. I love it! I've bought the extra pack twice already! If you like doing crafts, this book is soo like a must!

I got this for Christmas one year and I absolutely fell in love with them. I used to have a friend that would make these little stars but I was never able to make them every time she tried to teach it to me. Then one day I moved across the country so i was never able to learn. I then found this book on the internet and I knew I had to have it! Klutz just made it so simple and I liked that you could put your paper on the pictures to see if you were doing it right! I was so exicted when I got this that I brought it to school to show my friends. At lunch all we did was make stars it was so much fun! Thanx again klutz!

5.0 out of 5 stars i love the STARS, April 16, 2003
This review is from: Wishing Stars: Everything You Need to Make 100 Tiny Origami Stars (Misc. Supplies)
this is soooo cool. it is almost addicting! :) i had my new mom friends save baby food jars and i decorated them and made really nice paper weights and "fortune" STAR JARS for my friends and their kids! i also use them as a "prize" in my classes at school. the STAR kid gets to pick out a star and each has a piece of advice or a good fortune...along the lines of "confusiuos(sp)says"... always a good thing! i love this project and have made about 1000 stars! refills are available! the ideas in the book are great! alot of my students and i have made mobiles..very creative ones i might add, from the students! and you can also play games with these if you use your imagination and reach for the stars...you WILL CATCH THEM!
i also highly recommend the "tissue flower book" by klutz...it is fun and really makes beautiful flowers! stop and make a flower!

5.0 out of 5 stars Star-Tastic, May 27, 2006
This review is from: Wishing Stars: Everything You Need to Make 100 Tiny Origami Stars (Misc. Supplies)
Once upon a time I was wondering around the streets of Chinatown in San Francisco and I saw a store that sold strips of cool colored paper and I thought to myself "I have no earthly idea what this could be used for... I must purchase some..." and did so promptly...

Never did a thing with them...

Fast forward to finding "Wishing Stars: Everything You Need to Make 100 Tiny Origami Stars" by the always brilliant Klutz wizards... And not only did I suddenly know exactly what to do with the strips of paper... I was in star making heaven...

The instructions seemed very clear to me, which is saying a lot since I'm dyslexic... Sure, it takes you a couple of good run throughs to get the feel of "star making," but once you get it, you'll be whipping them out in seconds... They're a very Zen way to pass time... I've made stars on airplanes, in cars, in nightclubs while bored, on trains and in restaurants as a cute addition to a tip...

I think most people would find this kit to be as star-tastic as I did, it just takes a little patience...

These are fun teasures to give to your kids... a real inspiration for all their hard work! The kit also shows how you can string these stars together to make a necklace. My students love to collect these stars. Several of my kids can make them, too! This summer, EVERY teacher at my school is busy making stars for their wonderful students! After reading the rave reviews, I ordered this for my art class. I copied the instructions for each of my students and let them try it out. They got REALLY frustrated. These are 7-12 year olds who LOVE to do origami. Even with me helping each of them individually, they still had a hard time. Only one of my eleven students was successful. I'll try again....

This tiny kit is very cute. My sons have me turning out stars with secret messages on them for them almost non stop. Well worth the cost. These stars would be cute to toss into a birthday card for someone.

Origami is so much fun and this is a quick, easy (and portable) way to get started. Lots of paper strips and super-clear, easy instructions to follow - this is a good activity to carry in your purse or briefcase if you get bored while waiting @ the doctor's office or DMV. Great conversation starter - people will see your bright colors and nifty folds and will most likely ask "what are you doing?" I keep a little Tupperware container handy to put my finished stars in, and I always have stars waiting on my co-workers' desks or in the break room. It seems to make people smile. Enjoy!
