I picked this book up in a used book store and have read it a dozen times. It's a short book but with a deep enough storyline that keeps you thinking even after you have finished it for the tenth time. A little more thought and effort could have made it a great epic novel. Will Shetterly keeps the ending open enough that it makes you wonder if a sequel was a possibility.
