More About the Author

Under the names Livia J. Washburn and L.J. Washburn, Livia Reasoner has been writing award-winning, critically acclaimed mystery, western, romance, and historical novels for almost thirty years. She began to write in collaboration with her husband, author James Reasoner, and soon branched out into telling her own stories.

In addition to writing, Livia enjoys photography, arts, crafts, and cooking, but she also loves having a pile of lumber, a circular saw, and a building project. An accomplished carpenter, she has framed houses and built more sets of bookshelves than she can remember, some of which have been filled with the books she's written. A good day for her includes having time to create something new in the kitchen, on a story, and in the garage.

Great entertaining read. I stayed up late to finish it, can't wait for next installment. This looks like to be the first of a series. Try her other series as well.

I absolutely love the quirkiness of this series and can't wait for the next installment! Just when you think you have it figured out, another twist appears. The characters are funny and very entertaining. Another great book and series by this author!

I've always enjoyed Livia Washburn's books. This time she's starting a new series about a young witch who stutters and can't cast spells. As it turns out, however, the stuttering problem isn't what she always thought it was. In fact, she learns that a lot of things weren't what she thought they were, and her world is upended in surprising ways. And imagine the shock of her roommates when they discover she's a witch. This is a fast, entertaining book, and there's bound to be a sequel along soon. I'm looking forward to it.
