5.0 out of 5 stars Enlighted Reader!!!
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this book. The stories spirtual and romantic. I believe they will appeal to both pagans and non-pagans alike. Being a non-pagan, (actually a Catholic), I found the book to be informative and entertaining. Both Ms. Shayne and Ms. Tedder did a remarkable job and I recommend it highly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Witchy, but still...
To have books about witches that aren't stereotypical in our ugly evilness and, very occasionally, our perfection, is good. Interesting story, Witch Moon Rising. The bodice grabber, Witch Moon Waning was written really poorly. Read and discarded both quickly, while really good books featuring the Craft are cherished and re-read. None of the characters haunt me nor stayed...

5.0 out of 5 stars Two OUTSTANDING novels in one book, May 14, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Witch Moon Rising, Witch Moon Waning: Two Novels (Paperback)
I like both of these authors, but two in one book was more than I could ever ask for! I laughed and cried my way through both stories and was so, so, so, so, very much impressed with how the ethics of the Wiccan religion played a part in the heroines' lives. These books have everything I like: wicca, romance, mystery, and paranormal elements. I can't wait for sequels!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought it for 1 of the authors and enjoyed both, August 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Witch Moon Rising, Witch Moon Waning: Two Novels (Paperback)
I purchased this book after reading Ms. Tedder's Access and wanting to know more about Lydia's past. I was not disappointed. I have always enjoyed movies and books with time travel in them. I will admit that I did not know much about Wiccans until now. I also was very pleased with my discovery of Ms. Shayne's work. I don't normally read romance novels but would be interested in reading more of her work. As long as the story is as good as this one, I don't mind the romance. Thank you, ladies, for two excellent reads and for educating me on Wiccan belief.

These two stories were moving and I enjoyed them both. I am glad that there is more and more Wiccan and Pagan fiction out there!

None of the characters haunt me nor stayed with me after the book was closed. Can't say they're as bad as most portrayals, but there's still a long way to go to rival books like "Mists of Avalon", both beautifully written, and Craft-savvy as it is. Maybe Witch Moon Rising would be a good book for a pre-teen crafter. Maybe. Worth one brief read, and that's about all. We have a long way to go in Wiccan fiction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent hard to find stories!, September 16, 2005
This review is from: Witch Moon Rising, Witch Moon Waning: Two Novels (Paperback)
I am so glad this book was reprinted and is now available for all to enjoy! It was so hard to obtain before this printing! I am a huge fan of Maggie Shayne and have found that this particular book has been difficult to find in the past.

Both stories in this collection are fabulous stand alone books and truly inspirational no matter what your faith. They are both sotries of conflict and hope and have endured the years.

Grab it while it is in this new great printing!
