This review is from: The Witch of Pungo (Hardcover)
This is a collection of seven stories about the Tidewater or Virginia Beach area, from the days of the first settlers through the Civil War. Written to be easy enough for young readers, but interesting to adults. Large type face. Topics include the Witch of Pungo, Adam Thoroughgood family, Grace Sherwood, Blackbeard, Chesapeake Indians, the Moseley family, Dam Neck, Cape Henry Lighthouse, Princess Anne County, etc.
