This book really shed light on the "controlling" spirit that is permeating most churches today from the pulpit and the pews. Bloomer really exposed what the "root" of the problem is and how we can identify it as well. The text was scriptural based which supported the theories given by Bloomer. There were a few testimonials but I longed for more. The book was a quick easy and read. The text was very straight forward without much "sensationalism." The downfall was that it was so straightforward that it lacked the "umph" that I expected when I read the title. There were also some sections that I felt were not applicable. The section on the Million Man March and the Religious Right were relevant but not for the context of this book.

Overall the book gave insight on a problem that is running rampant in most Christian churches today. We have become so inclusive that we have turned away from the fundamentals of our Christian faith. The very foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ and we cannot "mix" Him with anything or anyone else. The hidden nugget of the book was how Bloomer exposed how we as professing Christians can be harboring "accursed things" in our home unknowingly.

I read this book on the recommendation of Mary Baxter as she referred to it in her series of books. What George Bloomer has written is spot on and so glaringly obvious when exposed like this in such a simple way. Forms of witchcraft are occurring right under our noses and most of us do not confront it when we see it because we just assume that those who are controlling, dominating and manipulating us into compliance with their ways are just suffering some sort of 'personality disorder', and so we just 'tolerate' them! To tolerate these things is basically allowing witchcraft to remain in our churches and giving it silent permission to run rampant and unchecked. I totally agree with the section about 'accursed things'that may be in our homes and the effect they have on our lives, and the need for a thorough spiritual cleansing of our homes and our lives, disposing of these evil things and renouncing all involvement and attachment to them, often destroying these 'accursed things' with fire rather than merely chucking them in a bin. Evil needs to be eradicated from our lives and we need to ask the Lord to lead us to whatever may be in our homes, offices and schools that is rooted in witchcraft and evil, and then do what the Word of God says about the situation. We must not do it with a half-hearted attitude. We must do it thoroughly and with a reverential fear before the Lord. If we do it in a casual manner, we could open the door to even more demonic influence occurring in our lives. We cannot afford to play games with witchcraft and any other form of evil. We must take God and His word on the subject VERY seriously indeed. Thank you George for this powerful and revealing book! God bless you. From Michele Neal

Witchcraft in the Pews was one of the best books that I have read in along time. George Bloomer dealt with issues that know one else wants to touch. Pastor's and lay members must learn to see the enemy for who he is even in the church. Stop playing with the enemy and begin to defeat him in your church. This book gave important keys and instructions on how to win the war....

This book opened my eyes to multiple truths and hidden wickedness. I now understand witchcraft more indepth and I am able to explain it. I now am also able to pray against it. I never knew how close witchcraft was to home until reading this book.

Book about those that misuse, twist, and abuse the name of Christ to do the will of Satan. Not just another lame book about how goth kids are devil-worshippers, but rather a call for spiritual discernment on the part of Christians. A must-read for Pentecostalists.

This truly is a man called by God in these last and evil days. I bought this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who has ever dabbled in witchcraft or just for fun went to a seance;or played with a ouija board you have to read this book and some of the others he has written. This truly is a man called by God to be used of God to set free people bound by the dark forces of the enemy who is out to destroy mankind. Please get this book if you want to know the truth. The best lie the devil can use in this day and age is for people to believe that he does not exist and especially in the church.

I have heard so much about this book and decided to read it for myself. Wow, it did blow my mind. So much so that I had to search my house to make sure I did not have any accursed thing in my house. I did discover I had those dolls the author was talking about and immediatly got rid of them. I feel free and I am now looking forward to receiving blessings upon blessings. Thank you so much George Blummer for allowing God to use you to write this book. It's a must read for all you church going folk.
