There seems to be a trend in ebooks where authors believe that 100 pages is considered a book worthy of $9.99. If you think I'm kidding, then have a look at what this series would cost you if you vhose to read it in its entirety. Since these authors charge $2.99 for 40 pages, and call each a book, you would be paying over $50.00 to finish this series.
In real estate location often affects prices whereas in ebooks it should be book lengths. Alas, not so. I enjoyed the basic premise of the first season and given the spelling & grammatical errors, I didn't quibble about .99 for a quick afternoon jaunt into the lives of the Witches of Santa Anna. But I sure wish that I'd looked ahead to check out the prices for future novellas. At an average of 30-40 pages, that I can read in 15 minutes, I cannot justify spending what the authors are asking. I'd prefer if they would write a full novel of 300 pages & charge me $4-5. Is this greed because it seems to be contagious. More authors are doing this and frankly, it turning me off Indie authors altogether. Perhaps I'll go back to reading mainstream authors since at least I know I'm getting a full complete novel with a beginning and an end that gives me more bang for my hard to come by buck.
I know everyone has to eat but this is giving ebooks a bad rep. Now I'm not picking on these authors only because they aren't the only ones pulling these stunts. If I wanted a serial novel, then I expect to just pay the one time fee just like current serials on Amazon. I wouldn't even mind paying $1 - 2.99/season but I've given up despite liking the storyline because the final cost of reading the series would be ridiculous for a basic escape read. Too bad though, I was having fun. This type of price gouging is why people turn to illegal sites to download books.
Will authors realise they are losing potential customers and do they even care. Time will tell!

This is a good story line but needs work on editing. It is written in the verbage of teenagers but with an adult subject. The tense verbs are often used improperly and words used erroneously. As using were for we're and lite for light. The spelling of the name Derek was interchanged with Derrick at times. The use of the term books is incorrect as the books are more like chapters. I bought season 1 discounted for .99 so it was worth it. Season 2 was $2.99 and not woth the price. Season 3 is $2.99 for each so called book! Which is really only a few pages. You'd have to be crazy to pay that. Amazon should motonitor these ebooks and rip-offs like this. I'll wait for them to combine season 3 before I buy them.

I really love this series, well written and captures your attention. However, I am not a fan of paying the price asked for these 'chapters' which by other books standards are literally the length of a short chapter. $3 for some of the next ones in the series, which I will read in under 20 minutes is deflating and makes me somewhat regret my initial interest in the books all together. It feels, as a reader, that I'm being ripped off. I cannot take away from the writing, the author is great. I would just hope they reconsider how they sell these.

I would not pay $9.99 for books 8-13. I paid .99 cents for books 1-7 and that was worth it. I will wait till they discount them.

This set IS worth purchasing at the discounted price. Books are VERY short! Nice, easy (fun) read though! I would recommend for a Saturday afternoon :)

The story continued to grow without any believably, all the characters started to get on my nerves, combined with the fact that each of the books are so ridiculously short I could care less how it ends. I was just happy to be finished reading it. The balance between keeping the story going, making it interesting and worthwhile were missed. By book 9 I was really starting to feel like the author(s) are just trying to keep cranking out books without any regard for the integrity of the characters. Is there a point to the story? It doesn't feel like it, reminded me of a soap opera gone wrong. I would like to have had perhaps longer but fewer books with less of the far fetched plot twists.

It was a fun little read, if you can get past the spelling and grammatical errors, which I suspect will barely be recognized (if at all) by MOST of the target audience. However, it is not so good that I will be spending the ridiculous amount that is being asked for the "Season Two" set. The entire series isn't worth $10, let alone a few chapters. Speaking of which, someone needs to define book, chapter, and novella for these authors. Maybe they should discuss marketing strategies with successful self-published authors who have been able to make the transition from e-pub to print?
