10 and upBeatrice Bailey's Magical Adventures
Apprentice witch Beatrice Bailey and her friends are off on a brand-new adventure as they continue their effort to thwart the evil Dally Rumpe and reverse his magic spell. Traveling to the western part of the Witches' Sphere, Beatrice and her pals stay at a guest ranch at the foot of Winged-Horse Mountain. They visit a phantom rodeo with ghost cowboys and horses, then go to the ruby mines of Blood Mountain. While trying to break the spell, they explore the cave where Dally Rumpe once lived, and there they discover his book of evil spells. In this new adventure, Beatrice faces a difficult and frightening decision. She learns that good and evil aren't always as clearly defined as she'd once imagined. If she chooses an evil path, she can defeat Dally Rumpe; otherwise, she seems destined to fail. (Ages 10-14)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but predictable..., July 27, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Witches of Winged-Horse Mountain (Beatrice Bailey's Magical Adventures) (Paperback)
This book is quite good. I liked the plot to some extent--it was very predictable. Balto was a really interesting addition. The name implies that there would be a lot of horses and there really aren't that many. It was kind of disappointing, with me being a horse person. You don't really have to read the other ones to figure out their position and whats happening and everything. Overall, I rate this book 4 stars.

This is the greatest book! I just couldn't put the book down. This book makes Beatrice Bailey a character to die for. I loved the plot of this book and once again Sandra Forrester displays characters so well. If you haven't read this book, you must!! Learn of new characters, meet old, new relationships form between characters, read through an enchancing plot and go on a wild adventure to Winged-Horse Ranch to read as Beatrice Bailey pulls it off again!
