Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Four wonderfully crafted, pocket-size spell books promise to offer practical assistance to practitioners of the Craft Good Spells for Healing, Good Spells for Love, Good Spells for Peace of Mind and Good Spells for Prosperity are short and beautifully packaged, with vellum paper, satin ribbon closures and collage-like illustrations. The covers are appealingly distressed, with faux tea stains and an aged appearance. The books' contents are a bit simple; the real enchantment lies not in the spells by "Witch Bree" (aka Brenda Knight), but in the series' lovely presentation. ( May)

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerfully Whimsical and Feminine, June 5, 2001

This review is from: Witch's Brew: Good Spells for Healing (Hardcover)
This small book is powerfully whimsical, feminine and captivating. It is an enjoyable read of 88 pages that keeps you wanting more. Witch Bree uses ingredients that can easily be found in your kitchen or easily purchased at a health food store. Her chants and prayers are poetic and easy to memorize. Her book contains remedies for securing the home, staying healthy, spa like treatments using essentials oils and how to universally heal the earth. Also, there is a section on how to create a sacred workspace. It brings out the good witch in all of us. The only thing missing is the fairy dust.

5.0 out of 5 stars truly wonderful !, February 4, 2008
This review is from: Witch's Brew: Good Spells for Healing (Hardcover)
I am really becoming a fan of Witch Bree (Brenda Knight)'s books. Although they're small, they're packed with so much information and knowledge, and the illustrations are beautiful to boot. In "Good Spells for Healing", she addresses different ways of healing ourselves, those we love, creating a healing altar specifically for healing magic and even rituals to help heal our Earth, with everything in between. The rituals inside are easy enough for beginners to do, thanks to Knight's introductions in each book with instructions about moon phases and other vital information. Her writing makes me think of sitting in a lush garden with a cup of herbal tea, and very tranquil. Did I mention that the illustrations and photos are beautiful and add to the tone and feel of the books. Marvelous, marvelous.
