Rula Lenska grabs the listener from the very beginning of this intense story of a police superintendent's investigation of criminal accusations against a fellow officer and friend. Lenska vividly portrays the inner turmoil of the superintendent and the gruff exterior of the accused, who feels betrayed. She's equally adept with the feisty prosecutor, who's scheduled to marry the superintendent and who has a healthy dose of disdain for the accused.
