Amazing debut!,

After waiting years for Kimberly Caldwell's debut album, I have to say it was worth the wait. This version was released for like three weeks and then pulled. It's showing as being reissued in April 2011 with a new cover and some different tracks. I downloaded this album from a website and have been listening to it constantly. I still don't understand why it took so long. Kimberly's vocals are absolutely amazing, and the songs are awesome. Two tracks are penned by the great Diane Warren, one track co-written with Kara DioGuardi and this version includes a cover of Melissa Etheridge's 'You Can Sleep While I Drive'. I will still buy the re-release just because Kimberly is amazing! If you get the chance, pick this album up or download it. It's worth more than you'll pay for it.

OUTSTANDING!,

I have been a HUGE fan of Kimberly Caldwell since American Idol and let me tell you I think this album screams her name. Every song on the album is AMAZING. I personally would say the Hotter Without You is the best song on the album and if you are on the fence about receiving this album jump over and buy it! It will blow you away to hear how good her vocals are. I believe that Kimberly Caldwell will have a grammy win with this album and you will see her enter into the mainstream faster than you might have expected!

I sort of recognised Kimberly Caldwell's name on the promo and didn't give it a chance in 2010. Languishing on the side of a pile of CDs, it sort of reappeared and biy, was I impressed when I popped it into my car's player. Going Going Gone: The kickass track is pretty much anthem-worthy for strong, tough rock. The entire CD is well produced and a keeper. Sorry I missed ya, Kim, it won't happen twice!

Inane lyrics, pounding music, absolutely mediocre voice-this is what 20 buck headphones were made for. My headphones (and ears ) require MUSIC not noise. Agree?1

If you're like me, you've wondered whatever happened to Kimberly Caldwell, one of the standout performers from "American Idol's" season two. Well, she finally has an album out and it's well worth the wait. A combination of every contemmporary music style, from Pink to Kelly Clarkson, rock to dance, it is a hit-filled joy. Listen to the samples and you'll see. Most of the songs deserve to be on radio right now.

Wow, what a good CD. It's not Earth shattering, it isn't going to solve world hunger but it's really, really solid. The songs don't blur together and Kimberly's vocals are solid or downright really good on some tracks. My basis for the five star rating is based on the overall effort as opposed to each individual song. Caldwell's voice won't stop you in your tracks say the way Eva Cassidy does nor will the songs grip you with the wonderful melodies or astounding lyrics but it's a very well-balanced effort. Song #9, Going Going Gone, is the oddity for me. It's good, I like it but it just seems out of place with the others. So there ya go, a complaint, the good song doesn't seem to match the other good songs. It's a brutal critique, I know.

Beautiful,
This review is from: Without Regret (Audio CD)
I love this album I got it over a year ago when it was released with different cover and some different songs but the main ones I love are still here:
Heart Like Mine written by kara dioguardi and chad kroger is amazing gives me chills this song really sets the tone for any bad break-up. Say Love written by kimberly herself is my hands down favorite I have the title tattooed across my chest it makes me cry every time reminding me of the struggle I had with one guy. Human After All a good solid track. Taking Back My Life is a close runer up for best song and its just about taking ur life back after a break up. So all in all a great addition to the good side of AI alums. |
