With the April 2006 release of NEW USED CAR, powerhouse singer/songwriter/guitarist Sue Foley has solidified her place as one of the leading lights of the contemporary blues scene. In the male-dominated field of blues music, she's proven she can sling a guitar with the best of them - and she's shared the stage with BB King, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and George Thorogood, to name a ... 5.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for just three! November 14, 2002
Format:Audio CD
This is hard to get, but I think it's pretty much worth it. Sue is, without a doubt, the queen of the Telecaster and that pink paisley she uses is the most beautiful-looking guitar in the world! I love "Sue's Boogaloo" (one of the three instrumentals on the album; they were all written by Sue, what's more); "Put Yor Money Where Your Mouth is" and Magic Sam's "Come Into My Arms". If you only buy one album for twelve months, make sure this is it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Ruby Duby! October 25, 2006
By Fran
Format:Audio CD
Wanna know what the blues is about? Then listen to Sue's 'Sad sad city'.
That is just one of all tracks where lyrics and music go hand in hand, standards
or originals, she does it (almost) equally so good. And I love her.

4.0 out of 5 stars a strong one February 14, 2000

Fiery guitar, sexy vocals, and a band that rips into the tunes. Get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The premier blues performer in the world today. May 21, 1998
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
On this, Sue Foley's second release, she demonstrates a knowledge, a fire and true emotional understanding of blues. Where blues has a habit of being stuck it a rut of traditional complacency, regardless of when more progressive artists cover it, Sue is a breath of beautifully crafted air breaking down the cobwebs in a spell biding instant. The covers on this album such as "Come Into My Arms" and "Ruby Duby Du" are given a completely fresh new lease on life, while the originals such as "Open Up Your Eyes", "Live Together" and "Annie's Drifting Heart" more than deserve a place in the immortal blues classic "hall of fame". Her guitar playing and singing are unmatched by none. She is the most underrated, primary force in blues today.
