4.0 out of 5 stars W-w-witpunk
I recently read this book after my good friend Nikki showed it to me. The first story she had me read was entitled Timmy and Tommy, and it was so twisted, yet normal, I loved it. I'd tell you more about the story, but I can't without ruining it for you. Witpunk is a collection of short stories with a sci-fi edge to them. Not all of them were quite "sci-fi"...

2.0 out of 5 stars Witless
I had high hopes for this book, which were not realized. The stories, while occasionally amusing, are generally not written terribly well; the plots are transparent, the characters all sterotypes. Some of the entries are page and a half long sentances. I feel pretty ripped off that I paid full price for this.

I'd tell you more about the story, but I can't without ruining it for you. Witpunk is a collection of short stories with a sci-fi edge to them. Not all of them were quite "sci-fi" but they were still wonderfully written and really intrigued the reader. I reccommend this book for anyone who loves...anything. It's that good. Sure...not all the stories are the greatest, but some of them are worth finding.

If you're already a fan of Silverberg, Morrow, Cadigan, Di Filippo, Vukcevich etc. etc., you won't be disapointed. Most of the stories in this collection are gems, and I look forward more original anthologies from 4W8W in the future.

A+

1.0 out of 5 stars GARBAGE!, July 8, 2005
This review is from: Witpunk (Paperback)
Uninspired and ostentatious drivel that seems more suitable to Spike TV fans than true diehards of the genre. DRECK! FEH!
