Good But Not Great,
By Terri (Sacramento, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Wives and Other Women (Paperback)
As a teen I couldn't get enough of Norma Klein's books and was excited to find this one in a thrift store. Unfortunately it doesn't quite live up to her other books. The chapters alternative back and forth between the early 70's which focus on Nira and the early 80's concentrating on Penny. Both women are married when they meet Jerry and can't help but fall for him. While the story itself is interesting, the story has one big problem: Jerry. I never got why either woman was so into him and just had to be with him. If he had been written in a more compelling manner, I would have liked the book more. |
