The Wixey angle gauge is the perfect device for setting up a table saw or similar stationary tool. If you use a good right angle square you can probably set a tool to a 90 degrees +/- 1.0 or even 0.5 degrees. With the Wixey you can get to +/- 0.1, and if you're just a bit of a nut like me that's a good thing. If you're trying to set the 45 degree stop for a table saw or set an angle for cutting crown molding or some other odd angle, the Wixey can't be beat.
Apart from setting up tools when they're new or being checked, it helps you set up jigs, drill bit angles, etc. You can even measure how accurate your right angle squares are. It's easy to zero and easy to use. One odd bit in the design is that the orientation sensor doesn't shut off completely even when the display is off. So the battery apparently has about a 6 month life. But it's easy enough to take the battery out, tape it to the gauge and reinstall it only when you're using the gauge. And Wixey gives you two batteries with the gauge - one already installed and a spare in an unopened package. (They do the same with the height gauage). Measurements appear to be repeatable to +/- 0.1 degree accuracy. The display was easy to read in my well lit workshop, but I don't know how well it would work in sunlight. There's a competing product made by Beal that's similar.

Great Accurate Tool,
By Rawdawg (Orlando,FL) - See all my reviews I was going to purchase an Incra square and probably still will for setting up my 90's on tools and instead decided to go with this first. This accomplished the task just as well. They both have their place because each can do things the other can not. This is an absolute ease to use and allows setting up any bevel angle accurately. Combine with a dead on square and this tool will allow your shop repeatable accuracy in fractional degrees. I got mine cheaper at Rockler even with shipping.

Great gadget. Comes with two batteries (but it only needs one at a time). Set up is easy. I use it on my table saw and miter saw.
Turn on the Wixey WR300 Digital Angle Gauge . Put it on the table. Press the zero button if the angle it is reading is anything but 0.0. Put it on the blade. Adjust the blade to the desired angle. Very easy. Presumably very accurate. I would highly recommend it.

I use this little honey on my telescope. I zero it at home and stick it near the eyepiece when I get out under the dark sky in the country. I have a big dial that keeps track of the compass heading of the telescope and this gauge gives me the altitude angle of the telescope tube. It is accurate to 1/10 of a degree! I get the settings out of my laptop computer and use the azimuth dial and this gauge to point the telescope with perfect accuracy. What could easier? - Or cheaper for such a precision instrument?

Like others, this little gizmo makes a world of difference when setting up or checking angles. I do a lot of staves, where I need to set my blade to sometimes really odd angles. Using this gauge, I can dial in the blade angle first time, without needing to make any further adjustments. The only bad thing, like others have said, is that even when turned off, it will use up the battery. I have no idea how long it lasts when turned off, but after a couple months, when I needed it again, it was totally dead. The solution, of course, has been to remove the battery when not in use. That problem alone makes it a poor enough design that I only gave it 3 stars.

Very useful and seemed to be accurate when new, but it soon became unreliable. The reading changes if you tap the top and sometimes it just drifts around. As noted by others, it goes through batteries pretty fast. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I tossed it and will try another brand.
