I'm not an expert on karaoke recordings, but this one had everything I wanted: a product that matched the keys of the BROADWAY version (NOT the movie one) of The Wiz and included all the lyrics.

It features every musical aspect of the play, including the non-singing ones such as the Tornado.

Granted, karaoke music can be a bit tacky, but this recording superceded my expectations. My only complaint was the 30 dollar price tag, but once I realized how much music was on it and the karaoke machine features, it's well worth it.

These are very professional backing tracks of the musical, The Wiz. All of the songs and musical interludes are included. Excellent quality , very useful for AUDITIONS!!!!!!

The karaoke version of "The Wiz" that I purchased from Amazon.com is a wonderful tool to use to practice and perform the musical numbers of this fantastic super soul musical. I love that it contains all the original scores, even the instrumentals. I can imagine using the instrumental numbers as background music for vocal or comedy acts.

I'm using this tool to practice some of my favorite songs to share with friends and family.

I ordered karaoke CD's for a school variety show, and this one is embarrassing. I am usually able to find real orchestration with vocals removed or a close rendition. The Wiz karaoke is an electronic debauch. Sounds like the organ music in an old school roller rink. I am searching for real music, so this one is getting sent back or tossed. The search is on.
