This "chutes and ladders" type game is just the thing for my Wizard of Oz crazy 3 year old. It's great counting practice and great for learning basic board game rules. She's not quite patient enough yet to finish but it's fun watching her go farther every game.

It's fun, almost any game is fun but when our family plays games I like them to be more on the educational side. I feel this would be a great game for a 3 year old but it's not very stimulating for my 5 year old.

We got this game when my child was 3 and a very big Wizard of Oz fan. She saw the box and wanted it right away. It looked like she was old enough to play, and she was. The kids count yellow bricks on cards to move spaces, so it teaches counting up to 4. I have been very happy with it and we still play it 2 years later. It is as durable as a board game can be. The pieces are cardboard and ours have been taped for stability.

A fun "first game" for little tykes and non-readers that stays true to the plot of Wizard of Oz.
