I really love this calendar. Because who doesn't have fond memories of "The Wizard of Oz" or Judy Garland? The pictures are really beautiful. There's only 1 black and white and the rest are all in color. The paper isn't the shiny magazine type of paper, instead it's thicker and doesn't have a glare to it; so IMO this almost gives it a retro or a nostalgic look. I also enjoy how each month is color-coded. For example February is in pink and red, March is green and of course July is red, white & blue! My favorite month is April because this includes a lovely picture of Dorothy and Glenda. With the "Wizard of Oz" every day this year can be a good day, if you work at it!

Past Wizard of Oz calendars have had colorized and bastardized images from the movie that I suppose were considered "artistic," however, for die-hard fanatics like me who want their images "pure," this calendar offers real frame-blowups (done well, too) from the actual film itself. Fun graphics and comments throughout, this is the nicest licensed Oz calendar in years.

Bought for my girlfriend. She likes it. It doesn't use quotes from the movie though which is weird.

The pictures on this page do not do this beautiful calendar justice. I knew it would look nice but when I got it home I was totally astonished at how vivid and colorful every single page is. Each month also includes a memorable quote from the movie. My favorite is April: only bad witches are ugly. Each picture is amazing because it captures the essence of this magical movie perfectly. And I also like this because each picture has an old-world quality to it, in that they don't look photo-shopped or updated like so many calendars of older movies usually appear. If you any interest in "the movie that more people throughout the world has seen," "The Wizard of Oz," then this calendar is for you. The price just went up; I got it for half, but even at the current price it's a great value and I seriously doubt Borders or B&N will have this calendar in stock because anytime I would go there after New Year's I never find anything I wanted to look at for an entire year. Amazon has the best pricing and is the easiest.

This calendar left me somewhat lukewarm; I guess that Warners feels they need to pump new life into this 70 year old classic by "creating" new photos. Many of the large images in this calendar are a photoshop hodge podge of one face from one photo combined with other photos...and not necessarily done very well. The majority of these images are also colorized from black and white photos, and again...not very well. Still, this calendar will have some appeal as the design itself is not too bad and it is does seem fun, but for classic 1939 Oz fans, this one will probably fall between the chairs in appeal. The Oz map included is also another lukewarm attempt; not accurate enough to appeal to the Baum book fans, it is a combination of Baum, MGM, and plain silliness...I'm not quite sure who the makers of this calendar are trying to appeal to, but it would appear they are trying for too broad of a group.

Overall, not awful, but I prefer the official Oz calendar from last year that focused on actual photos/frames from the movie rather than this amateur photoshop conglomeration.

This calendar is both fun to use and fun too just look at. You can't help but have a smile on your face whenever you walk past it and even glance at it. This calendar brings back many childhood memories.

I get one calendar every year for display at work, always the Wizard of Oz because I get numerous positive comments on it.

Adult daughter is a Wizard of Oz fan. She uses this calendar every day. Clear and great pictures - plenty of space to write appointments, memos, etc. in the squares.

This is the 10th year I've received this calendar and even though some of the photos have repeated, I love it every year!

This was a gift for a friend who's ALL about The Wizard of Oz...she was surprised and loved the calendar. It arrived in perfect condition and on time. Very pleased with this seller, since they stand by the product they offer, and the price was very reasonable.
