Immediately after I opened this item, I was so upset that I wrote a review within 5 minutes. Perhaps really negative reviews are deleted, because that review is now gone!!! I found the quality of the basket to be completely unacceptable. The basket was already falling apart, straight out of the box. I don't imagine we could have made it through a single one of the parties that my daughter needed to attend. The dog didn't look one bit like Toto, it looked more like a gray cat.
So despite feeling like we were "all set" for our Halloween party on the Sunday before Halloween, I had to drop everything on Saturday afternoon and run out and spend hours shopping in store after store, looking for a basket and dog that looked like Toto. I spend thousands per year on Amazon, this is the first time I have EVER felt compelled to write a review.

The basket is terrible. The handles are not straight. It is already falling apart right from the package. The dog is cute though. The basket is embrassing...my daughter will not carry this!

I bought this for a Wizard of Oz Party for my daughter and also plan to use it for her Halloween costume. It's very cute but the quality isn't nearly as good as I thought. The basket is very cheaply made. It was definitely priced too high.

I got this toy for my 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter for this past Christmas. The basket hinges and flaps are a bit flimsy & awkward to use, but for the price I paid it really isn't such a bad deal. The dog is cute, but of course it will need a bit of a brushing after you open it.
The basket helps with educational purposes too. We use the basket to put in our pretend food and go shopping. As we put the food items in and out of the basket we count them out, go over colors, and what food item it is. The dog will help with learning how to take care of pets. We feed it, brush it, and even play with it.
Overall I would recommend this item to others. Remember you can make ANY toy educational as long as you incorporate learning into play :)

Horrible quality basket that instantly falls apart within five mins of gentle play. The dog looks like a new york city subway rat, at best. It was on;y $4.99, I thought how bad could it be? Now I regret. Waste of money, even for 5 bucks. Avoid at all costs!!! Run, do not walk.... AWAY!

I wanted to get Toto in the basket for my grandson. I looked on line and the photo of this stuffed dog looked perfect, with a very cute Toto-type face all covered with whisters. When I received it in the mail, I was appalled. Not only did the dog look absolutely nothing like the photo, but also it was frighteningly ugly. Its face was bald, one of its eyes was higher than the other on the dogs face, the eyes were almond shaped and slanted unlike the round eyes in the picture (eyes like the real Toto has), the dog was unable to stand up, its head was attached crookedly onto its body so that it looked like its spine was twisted and in general, looked mangy and completely unappealing. My grandson would have been frightened of it. I showed it to others who agreed with my assessment of this abhorrent stuffed thing.

Basket is of very poor quality and is already braking apart out of the box.
The puppy is nothing like the one in the picture and looks more like Toto who encountered a burner and turned into a roasted rat.
I didn't even bother returning the item, not worth wasting time to get 10 bucks back, just threw it out in the garbage without showing it to my girls.

Don't be fooled by the nice photo. Toto arrived looking like he was run thru a car wash and hot wax. He is missing 'fur' in patches and what fur he does have arrived knotted and matted. I can not express my level of dis-satisfaction.

This is the only negative review I have had to leave on all my purchases through Amazon thus far (and I have purchased allot) It says the dog may very, well let me say that the dog that was sent was more like a mangie rat and went directly in the trash!! I kept the basket since it is for a Halloween costume and I am purchasing another dog to go in it. I did not expect it to be exactly like pictured because I did read the description but what I got was just not even close. Oh well I paid for the basket....

Received this product yesterday and couldn't wait to give it to my eight year old daughter for her birthday this morning. Within 20 minutes the basket broke (and she was just sitting on the couch with it). I was going to send it back, but she doesn't want to let "Toto" go. We will see if we can fix it with some yarn and glue!Even for $5 it is not worth the price (or the disappointment on my child's face when it broke)!
