Children's book - Wizard of Oz
Our son loves the Wizard of Oz. He lost one of his books on the Wizard of Oz that had a picture on each page. When we saw this book, we knew it would work as a replacement. He loved it.

Silver Shoes?????
I agree with the other reviewer. This book is nothing like the original. It has hints of the original but many of the storylines are WAY WAY off. Whoever heard of a Dorothy with silver shoes? Give me a break - I would return this if I could but it's been too long. I'll give it away - can't bring myself to read this to my son with so many inconsistencies. Look...

I am a collector of Wizard of Oz memorabilia and have a large book collection. This was a great addition and my grandchildren love that they can read it by themselves.

I was very disappointed with this book and plan to return it. My daughter will be Dorothy for Halloween and I wanted an easy version of the story for her to enjoy. This book has Dorothy wearing silver shoes, the names are changed, it's not at all the classic story. This was a total disappointment.

While I like that this classic story is simple enough for young children, the author changed some fundamental components of the storyline (like the ruby slippers are silver slippers) which I thought were unnecessary and disappointed me.
