4.0 out of 5 stars Really cute item - it's really colorforms
The Amazon provided description on this product is a little lacking, but this is a really cute item! It's not really stickers or a book - it's a colorform-type activity (although not made by Colorforms). You get an 18 1/2 inch x 12 1/4 inch laminated backdrop of the Oz countryside with the yellow brick road, trees, flowers and some small houses. You also get 27...

This was only an OK product. The layout was good, but the stickers were flimsy. The product description made us think that the "reusable" stickers were more durable than they were. The 3-5 year olds that used it had fun with it, but not for long.

You also get 27 colorform-type stickers that you can use on the backdrop over and over. Included as stickers are Dorothy, Tinman, Lion, Scarecrow, Wicked Witch, Glenda the Good Witch, various munchins and monkeys, Toto and additional props and figures. I bought this as a birthday gift for my three year old neice who loves The Wizard of Oz movie and also loves stickers - so this was a big hit! Any child who loves colorforms and Oz will enjoy hours of imaginative play with this item! One note of caution: the included stickers are a little thinner and less durable than the old-fashioned rubbery Colorforms and probably could be ripped if a child tried to do so. They still are more durable than regular stickers and will stand up to normal play.

My 17 month old grandchild loves this. She watches The Wizard of every week. She loves the movie and has quite a lot of Oz stuff. She enjoys this sticker book so much I'm going to order a couple more . I think the age recomendation for ages 4-5 is to old. Younger children who watch the movie will want this to play with. I suggest to go ahead and order 2.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected but not bad, January 13, 2006
This review is from: Wizard of Oz Sticker Picture: With 27 Reusable Peel-and-Apply Stickers (Dover Sticker Books) (Paperback)
This is not a sticker book, it's a page of stickers and a background where you can place them and then remove and replace them. I bought this for a very young child and she seemed to like it but wasn't interested in moving the stickers after placing them the first time. Maybe a little older child would have more fun with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oz sticker book a hit with 4-yr-old granddaughter, October 27, 2010

While the Wizard of Oz 1930 film may be a little scary for little ones, the sticker book is loved.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, March 28, 2010

The description of this product is misleading. This is NOT an activity book, or even a sticker book. It is a one-page fold-out scene with reusable stickers to place on it. I bought it as a birthday gift for a Wizard of Oz birthday party, and I was disappointed given how much of a chunk it took out of my gift budget. That said, the stickers really are pretty, and the recipient loved it,

Save your money there's nothing to this book. They use the term reusable stickers not really. We used this as a party favor & each childs stickers were ruined after one time & these were delicate girls not rough boys.

2.0 out of 5 stars Limited Use/Limited Fun, August 27, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wizard of Oz Sticker Picture: With 27 Reusable Peel-and-Apply Stickers (Dover Sticker Books) (Paperback)
I bought this for my not yet three daughter who is obsessed with anything and everything having to do with The Wizard of Oz, Ruby Slippers or "Dorfy". This is really a sticker FOLDER. One scene, that's it. The stickers are not that durable and tear. The characters are all sort of baby cute...even the Wicked Witch. It's as if Fisher Price created a Little People version of the cast. An older kid could recreate the story by pulling off the stickers and putting on different ones every few minutes. But, and this is always an issue with any type of "reusable" sticker toy, the only place to store the stickers is back on the original paper. The paper gets crumpled and separated from the scene and is easily mistaken for scrap. If you do manage to save it, the stickers need to be carefully repositioned back into their spots in order to store them. My daughter doesn't have the patience for that. She just wants to play. Which means the one scene is covered with all the characters including several versions of Dorothy, all the munchkins, both witches the cyclone, Emerald city and the flying monkeys all at once. I bought this to keep her busy during a long car trip. It served that purpose. If you consider this a consumable or a one time toy, it's fine. I wouldn't plan on making space on your shelf for it though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in sticker book, February 29, 2008
This review is from: Wizard of Oz Sticker Picture: With 27 Reusable Peel-and-Apply Stickers (Dover Sticker Books) (Paperback)
I was very disappointed in this sticker book. I paid almost as much postage as I did to pay for the book. The book has only two pages and the stickers had a tendency to rip as you take them off. My granddaughter got upset because she was not able to remove the stickers without them tearing. This was NOT worth what I paid for.
