5.0 out of 5 stars Simply my best SNES game of all time
I'm 24 years old.Bought that game when I was 14-15,so I have Wizardry 5 since over 10 years...and still playing!!! The best thing in that game is that you can raise your level beyond 100 if you want!.I've got a level 896 ninja :) I love that game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't get the hang of it
I didn't like this game. You constantly walk aroung through a maze and it is so easy to get lost and by the time you find your way out some of your party members have already been killed off. You can't save the game until you back at the inn. This definitely is not my favorite video game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Deep Underground!, February 22, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom (Video Game)
I've been playing this game off and on since the mid 90s and even today I find it one of my favorites of all time. For the younger generation (Generation Y), I wouldn't expect a lot of excitement. The graphics are somewhat crude and you do have to use some of your imagination but this was from the mid-days of the SNES. Wizardry is a long standing title and I do believe this version gives credit where it is due. What's really fun is when you actually get to the lowest level and find the secrets hidden there. I found the various graphics (monsters, items, etc) to be imaginative and fun to look at even if crude. The mazes can be a bit daunting for those who don't take care but it was the size and complexity of these mazes (in part) that makes the game fun. The storyline of the entire game (the plot and sub-plots) are very well written which also add great playability to the game. I originally mapped out the entire maze sets on graphic paper which helped immensely. This also comes in handy later when you get the teleport spell. You can also find all these maps online if you do a search using pretty much any search engine.

Long live the Laughing Kettle (over and over) and LaLa Moo-Moo Be Honored.
