I'd downloaded the MetaSynth demo when it first appeared, kinda loved it and kept a close eye on it, but always wondered if it was anything more than just a cool audio gadget, good at wizzy noises, but maybe something I'd tire of quickly. I bought Len Sasso's book to help me make up my mind, and it was ideal...detailed, no-nonsense, project-oriented with tons of usable MetaSynth presets and audio files, written from the POV of a musician with real-world needs, as well as a tinkerer wanting to reduce MetaSynth to its basics in order to learn to control it as quickly as possible, not just get wowed by its special fx. I bought the whole MetaSynth Studio CD after spending a delightful weekend going thru the tutorials in this book using the demo version of MetaSynth, and haven't regretted it for a moment. The Wizoo examples and presets are still very useful as I dig deeper into the program. Exceptionally cool software, superb guidebook! Thanks, Len!
