Every episode is well focused in content, but at the same time 90% of episodes are still accessible to a wide range of listeners. Some listeners should delay listening to about 10% of podcasts that are more advanced, but Ginger makes it clear in the beginning of each higher level podcast which previous episodes she recommends one listens to, first. Her guests are pioneers in their field and/or even Nobel Prize level. Her book reviews are also well focused, without the silly bantering and tangents one encounters in "entertainment" podcasts.

These podcasts are not just topical, but listenable and educational all the way back to the first in the series. Bring your brain, and catch up to the future of consciousness and neuroscience!

This is a great free podcast (most recent 24 are free). I like that I can download the podcast that I want ahead of time so that I don't have to use data. You can set it up to automatically update so that you get the newest episode as soon as it is released, about once a month.

I found out about this podcast from a friend. We listen to episodes while driving to the ski hill. The podcasts are up to date and varied. The information is detailed enough for physicians but understandable to laymen.

This app is a great addition to the Brain Science podcast. Normally, I don't pay this much for most apps, but I have had many hours of enjoyment from these podcasts and feel it is a very worthwhile donation.

Fascinating and accessible neuroscience reviews for the lay person or professional. Series of interviews of the leaders in the field of neuroscience, usually centred around an interview on their latest book. So for those who have limited time to read but want to keep up with the nuances in this field, the Brain Science Podcasts are a must!
The app lists all episodes of the interviews in audio format which is great, but I cannot see the advantage of the app over just listening to the podcasts as I have done to date. In fact there is one disadvantage, in that the episodes are streamed, so can't be listened to offline via the app. The show notes etc appear to only be available on the website, not via the app. The "Extras" feature says "no extras available for display" so I am no sure what the point of it is. Maybe I'm missing something?
So I rate the content (5/5) but the app has been a bit disappointing (3/5).

Dr. Ginger Campbell hosts one of my all time favorite podcasts. She covers all aspects of the brain and the way we think. She is also a great interviewer and brings out the best in her guests. The podcasts are on different levels and a layman like me sometimes has to work to understand everything covered but that is a good thing. If you have any interest in the brain you will enjoy this podcast. Make sure to go back and listen to the first 10 or 15 podcasts of the series.

I may a little biased on this one since this app is for my Brain Science Podcast. However, I am proud to share it with listeners because not only can you easily stream any of the 90+ episodes in the library (including those no longer available in iTunes), but you can also download episode transcripts directly to your mobile device.

This version is for Android, but it has the same features as the iOS version that is available in the iTunes Store.

It's great to have access to BSP on the Kindle. I've been looking for a way to get the podcast here for a while.
The good:
- All episodes, back to number 1.
- Appears to stream on demand with an option to download.
- Photo of the guest and summary text show in the now playing window.

Not so good:
- Can take 2-3 tries to start the audio. If audio does start after a few seconds, press play again.
