I bought the two wowwee animals - for my grandchildren. I wish I would have seen the review with the following quote, "The first thing I noticed was how loud the mechanical noise is. It most definitely overpowers the lion cub noises that it makes. It's hard to find the animal noises very cute and appealing with the toy whiring and grinding like that. " The mechanic noise ruins the toy. It is not as interacitve as I had hope either.

I brought the Panda Bear for my 3 year old niece who saw it on QVC and had to have it for Christmas. It looks cute, but the gears over power the nose the Panda makes. I'm a little upset about that, because instead of hearing the Panda make his cute little sounds, all you hear are the gears moving. Hopefully my niece doesn't mind the extra noise.

Ok, this is a cute panda. Keep in mind he does have real looking teeth and his eyes and mouth move. If it is for an older child its ok. Younger children might be frightened of it. The gears are also very loud. This does take away some from the realness of it. It would be nice if the arms and legs also moved but they do not. Keep in mind you get what you pay for.

The one and only downfall to this panda are the gears, like everyone has mentioned before. Sure, the gears are slightly loud, but once again, it's a robot. What robot doesn't make a sound? There are volume adjustments that you can make to the panda noises that can dominate the gear sounds. You really can't get a "real" panda cub, unless it's an actual cub.

As far as the actual toy itself, it's amazing. I collect pandas as a hobby, and when I saw this one (It was on sale), I decided to buy it. It's so cuddly and durable. The sensors are strong and can pick up any kind of contact. When you hug it, it purrs. The one thing that my panda doesn't do is sleep when it's supposed to (when it's laid on it's side). Somehow, it just doesn't register that.

However, compairing this to other robotic pets, I completely suggest that THIS one is the best, by far. Normally robotic pets are limited and breakable. You can't cuddle with them and if you give it to a 5 year old or younger, they'll break it. Well, not this panda. This toy is completely durable. Everything that activates the movement is surrounded by cuddly, thick fluff and fur. The eyes are realistic, and there's really nothing too scary about it. I love that you can cuddle with it as well as play with it.

The face has been done amazingly. The eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks all move in cordation with each other. It looks like an actual panda's face (if slightly animated). The noises aren't the most accurate, however, they're still adorable.

Overall, I'd highly reconmend this toy over any other electronic pet.

It is only been a couple of weeks but my son loves his panda. It does have the robotic noises but they don't seem to bother my son. He plays with it off and on throughout the day, snuggling it and feeding it "bamboo". Overall it was a good choice for my little animal lover!

We recently got this for our 4 yr old daughter. I love that unlike the other moving/talking animals and dolls it's not hard. My daughter LOVES to snuggle with her favorite toys, and this made the list because it's so soft and easy to love but it still moves and talks while you hold it. The teeth could possibily scare a younger child (my daughter has been around a lot of animals so it doesn't bother her, she tells us to be careful to not put your hand in his mouth or he'll bite you). But she loves to take him to bed with her .

My granddaughter loves this Panda bear Cub, she sleeps with it every night, all our friends and relatives said they want to buy one too, we told them we got it at Amazon.com and referred the web page to them. Very good toy for kids and adults.

I bought this for my 2-1/2 year old animal-loving daughter after seeing countless ads on Nick Jr. When she first opened it on Christmas, she exclaimed, "Oh, he's sooooo cute"! but once we turned him on, as others have mentioned, the whirring of his gears was so overpowering that she quickly handed him over to me to "baby sit". After a day and a half of constant grandmothering of this freakish toy, I returned him. She was a bit disappointed that he went back to the store, but she really didn't play with him because he seemed a little scary with his robotic quality. I called him the exorcist bear and I will not be buying any of his furry companions.

I am 7 and I love my panda. I got it for Christmas last year. It's fun to play with, cuddly and soft. It makes you feel like you have a real panda. it opens it's eyes, makes adorable panda sounds, and loves you like it's your own pet.

( the body is a little hard due to the mechanics- doesn't seem to bother her). we also have the polar bear- which we also like.

I recently purchases the Wow Wee Panda bear cub. I was surprised by how natural looking was. My daughter loves her cub. It is so realistic, soft and sounds like a baby cub!
