Charming Film about Gauguin,

I was very charmed by Donald Sutherland's performance in this film about Gauguin. He brought the story of the artist to life... making it both engaging and memorable. I recommend this film to anyone who an enthusiast of art, painting, or the post-impressionist movement.

Donald Sutherland takes us to the passion that Anthony Quinn showed us in "Lust for Life." This is an emotionally riveting movie that portrays the artist Paul Gauguin's discipline and emotion in portraying life on canvas. This movie reflects great cinematography, with the brilliance and haughtiness of an original Gauguin painting. Please re-release this video.

Intriguing biography written as movie, not documentary!,

Donald Sutherland plays an excellent Gaugin. He takes you through his life from deserting his family in Denmark through his time in Paris with all the other artists of his day to his travels in Tahiti. Always kept your attention. Highly recommend movie for it's content and for the history value.
