I'm a huge Bianca D'Arc fan. I've followed every series that she has written and am always excited when I find out that there will be a new release. Brotherhood of Blood was the 2nd series of Bianca's that I discovered, so when I heard about the release of Wolf Hills I was ecstatic.
The first thing that struck me about this book were the amazing characters. You have a strong, independent, willful heroine, a hunky alpha male hero and the perfect supporting cast.
Sally is a detective on vacation visiting one of her best friends who just happens to be the Mistress of the area - the local master vampire's wife.
Jason is the Alpha of the local pack and the minute he lays eyes on Sally he knows that they're meant to be.
Despite warnings from Sally's best friend Carly and her master vampire husband, Sally can't ignore the attraction between she and Jason either.
When hunters start targeting the pack's young, Sally and Jason are thrown together to try and track down the hunters and the kidnapped kids and get justice. As nature takes its course, sparks fly, adrenaline packed action ensues, and each of them learns things about themselves as well as each other.
The world of Wolf Hills was beautifully built, diverse, and captivating. The storyline was action packed and thrilling, yet full of `tug-at-your-heartstrings' romantic moments and intrigue; which is the perfect combination to make you not want to put the book down, and in my personal opinion, the recipe for a phenomenal paranormal romance.
Like the reading warning states: There were bombs, bullets, bare knuckled fights, bare-naked lust, and some serious booty kicking, and I did not want it to end!... After completion of the last page all I could say was "I WANT MORE!".
LITERAL ADDICTION gives Wolf Hills 5 Skulls and would recommend it to everyone. The entire Brotherhood of Blood series (and the rest of Bianca's Backlist) is fabulous, but this book is amazing and is a wonderful installment to Bianca's library of literary excellence. Read more ›

Detective Sally Decker is the last of her old study group to be single. Sally has visited all of her old friends except one - Carly who now lives with her husband in Wyoming. Sally is a bit anxious that Carly is okay because Carly is the geeky type that will work herself to death and she has been very silent lately. Now with some vacation time, Sally is headed to Carly's to meet the husband.

Jason Moore is the Alpha of his wolf clan and good friends with the local Vampire Master and his Mistress, Carly. A lot of his younger clan even works for the Mistress which solves one problem for Jason. So when he learned that one of Carly's best friends was coming and a party was being thrown, Jason felt the need to appear. When Jason meets Sally, his life changes as he realizes she is his mate. Now the worry is if Sally is Alpha enough to rule by his side.

Sally feels the attraction to Jason - one that is stronger than it should be with them just meeting. But other things are bugging Sally right now, like just what is Carly hiding from her. When Sally learns about the things that go bump in the night and in Jason's case get furry, she takes it all in her normal forthright attitude. Besides Sally has been keeping a few secrets herself - secrets that are also about to get answers. It seems not everyone is happy to know that there are vampires and werewolves in the world and when a group begins to attack the children in Jason's clan, Sally not only won't be left behind but uses her skills and contacts to help find the group behind the attacks and to keep the clan safe. Jason knows now that Sally is very special and defiantly Alpha enough to rule with him. His only current worry is will she be willing to stay with him or will he step down as Alpha to be with her?...

Fate always knows those who belong together and has a way of making sure they cross paths. Jason and Sally do much more than cross paths in Wolf Hills, they discover a passion that won't be denied. I loved that Sally traveled to her friend's new home just to make sure all was okay. That told me exactly what type of woman she really was. Jason's reactions to Sally as their relationship went on had me laughing because she just kept astonishing him. The fact that Jason was able to let Sally be herself, even with the danger involved showed me that theirs was a love that would last a very long time. I also loved that Sally thought little about putting herself in danger if it would help one of the children in the pack. Those types of Alphas are the ones you really want leading clans. I really hope there is at least a novella when Sally and her study group friends all come together again - I can just hear the conversations now. Wolf Hills takes danger and passion and wraps them together with humor and suspense in a way that won't let you put it down.

well for starters this book sounded really great at first. but what i didnt like was how quick she was willing to give it up. he kissed her the first time they met. ok i understand you are on vacation but dang girl you could at least make him work for it alittle. and the next day they totally had sex! could you be any easier? i can relate to wanting to be wild and do something fun, but being a skank is not something i would think is fun. especially if you just told me you werent human. just sayin.
the romance between the two characters needed a little more substance and not just sex. how can you claim to love someone when you know absolutely nothing about him but the size of his mmmhmm.

it was a really good fast read i read it in one sitting. it follows the story line as the rest of the series wit a few twist and turns. if u like and read this author before u wont be disappointed but it leads to be that there is a few more books in the future.
