WOLF & LEOPARDS: The Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Brown, released more than two hundred albums over a career that spanned four decades, and WOLF & LEOPARDS, a mid seventies collection of some of his biggest hits, was easily one of the best. This album has seen numerous unlicensed, no-budget, retitled re-re-releases over the years, with poor mastering, and the crummiest possible packaging, but VP sets the record straight with this essential reissue on the "low price" Reggae Rewind imprint. Every cut collected here is a classic, from the timeless title track, to the wicked WHIP THEM JAH JAH, to BOASTING and ROLLING DOWN (a.k.a. RAIN FROM THE SKIES), to the soulful AT THE FOOT OF THE MOUNTAIN - all killers, and strictly no filler. If this material is new to you, don't hesitate to pick up WOLF & LEOPARDS and find out exactly why Dennis Brown's star eclipsed even that of the mighty Sir Bob Marley in Jamaica.

There'll never be a next Dennis Brown, that's for sure.
