5.0 out of 5 stars awesome cards
I am sorry I can only give a score of 5 stars. I just love these cards. I was new to tarot when I purchased them. I read where they were easy to read and very positive. I thought they were set up like a regular tarot deck; the major arcana, the pips, and the court cards. How wrong I was. But I decided to try and work with them. I love these cards. 5.0 out of 5 stars awesome cards, October 30, 2006
This review is from: The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck (Cards)
I am sorry I can only give a score of 5 stars. I just love these cards. I was new to tarot when I purchased them. I read where they were easy to read and very positive. I thought they were set up like a regular tarot deck; the major arcana, the pips, and the court cards. How wrong I was. But I decided to try and work with them. I love these cards. (did I mention this already?) I have bought several decks for my friends and family. My daughter, my two best friends, even my 12 year old grandson has a deck, and I own 2 decks now. I have one put aside when the one I am using now wears out. I do readings for friends, and they will ask for a reading from the Wolf Pack. Quick and easy, and to the point.
There is no LWB with this deck, but you don't need it. Each card is numbered from 1-78. The thoughts of the scene are on the card. The colors of the cards seem to be done in colored pencil, which gives it such a simple look and feel, but you feel at home with them. They are not aggressive, and give very positive meanings. However, they also can give forewarnings, and are very much on the mark. After using these cards, I have learned to work with the numbers in the card for timing some readings. I believe anyone who receives a Wolf Pack Tarot Deck, will not be disappointed.

When I bought this deck, I was a bit unsure. There were only a few prints of some cards and I decided to give it a try. To start with, the shuffling is a dream. Besides, the paper is also sturdy enough to bear constant handling. Now, to the art. All cards show a drawing of a wolf or wolves depicting a situation as described at the top. For instance, for the card "Obstacle", there's a drawing of a wolf sadly looking through a fence. The illustrator surely managed to capture the expression of this magnificent animal but still kept the color soft and "friendly" to the eye. The readability was what surprised me the most. After reading the reviews, I expected a very straightforward type of deck, that would simply give quick and clear answers. Well, that didn't work that way for me. This deck has given me VERY deep insights and has proven to be the best "advice" deck I have in my collection. It literally talks to you, as if it were an older brother bringing comforting and/or sensible words to you. And yet, many owners loved it for its quick and clear messages. Maybe The wolf deck is like a friendly wolf. It takes to its owner and adapts its voice to the master's. I'd really recommend it to any reader of any age (for those of you who have interested children :))

5.0 out of 5 stars Reads on the Mark!/Visionaryprophetdaniel, September 25, 2007
This review is from: The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck (Cards)
Behind the "Tarot Scenes" I am a Research Zoologist who reccomends this deck for tarot readings as the Wolfs' dependence upon the resources available to the Pack's survival adaptations in the open substrates of unfenced, protected National Park vast acreages of Pristine land. This feral canine Genus species' dependence survives as a Wolf community unit membership led by and held cohesively by an Alpha Male and Alpha Female much parallel to a Human community surviving under guiding influence of an Alpha Male/Female as an intact society unit. When the reader uses this Pack with the querents ,the resulting accuracies are astonishing nonetheless. I agree with the other reviewers while reccomending this Pack to be yours....

I thoroughly enjoy this deck, with its beautifully drawn artwork on each card. The writing and the picture can give different messages, as these cards are intuitively designed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Oracle Deck!...but not Tarot., July 12, 2011

These decks, were purchased for my eleven year old son, Sasha, and he loves them! They almost need to be held to be appreciated fully. We ordered a set containing both the original 60 card black and white deck, and the currently issued 78 card colored deck. Initially I was not drawn to the colored deck ( seeing it online) However it is really quite lovely. The artwork has been colored using watercolor colored pencils which gives the deck a soft, warm feel, complimenting the artwork well. I think any other type of coloration would appear too harsh, as the subject matter is wolves in nature. The wolves themselves are beautifully drawn as well. The cards show them in a bevy of situations, and each card contains a description of what the card means. These are different from the conventional Tarot decks, so having these right on the cards will assist in getting started with readings right away. There is no LWB (Little White Book) accompanying either deck, but as I've said the card meanings are indicated on each card. They do include 3 extra cards with some extra information. Background info, and spreed idea's ect.
The wolf illustrations on the black and white deck were done by Bruce Silkwood. However the wolf illustrations on the colored deck were done by Pat Morris. Both decks are published by Robert Petro and Wind Spirit Productions.
I think my favorite would have to be the colored, as the artist seems to have taken more time, and the wolves are so much more detailed. With both deck's a portion of the sale has been donated to a wildlife society for the protection of wolves.
If I had any criticism, it would be small. They only say "a wildlife society" but they don't say WHICH ONE. They also do not indicate how much of each sale will be donated. ( Five dollars or five cents?)
Also while the meaning is printed on each card, we don't know how to read them either inverted, or in relation to each other. In a true Tarot deck, cards change dramatically depending both on where in the spreed they lie, and which cards lay next to them and around them. Also of course weather the card is inverted or not also changes the meaning.I appreciate that they were attempting to make a simple easy to read Tarot deck here. Besides my collection of Tarot cards, I have as of late also started to collect Oracle cards. I think the deck is beautiful, but would be better called an Oracle deck rather than a Tarot deck. They do instruct you to use traditional Tarot layouts, to read the deck. However the cards do not bear any similarity to a conventional Tarot deck with the Major and Minor Arcana's, court cards or pips. Instead they're are words like card # 13 - "Caution" "-Something may look easy. Be more cautious in investments, career, and love. Could have a long lasting effect. Be careful.Take time to think things through.DO NOT act hastily.Be aware."
The other cards are things like "Discovery" "Trust" "Truth" "Family" "Love" "Obstacles"ect.
Beautiful decks, but more Oracle than Tarot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long time owner, December 1, 2010
This review is from: The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck (Cards)
I have had this deck for over 8 years. I really enjoy using it. The images attract people who come back for readings again and again, many of whom were scared by other deck's dark or confusing images. The simple line drawings and easy to understand interpretations help them overcome past fears.

I would recommend this for someone staring out since the meanings are on the cards. I would also recommend this to a professional to have available for those more skittish clients.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Wolf Deck, January 13, 2009

This review is from: The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck (Cards)
A wonderful, interesting, and beautiful deck. This deck is a bit usual and while it is not like a traditional tarot deck, it is still a great deck in its own right. Each card is small work of art in itself and you can really draw a lot of meaning from each card. If you are looking for a tarot or oracle style deck that is based around wolves and nature this deck might be good to look into.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pure crap!, July 10, 2009

This review is from: The Wolf Pack Tarot Deck (Cards)
As a long time wolf and tarot enthusiast I couldn't resist getting this deck. To my great dissapointment. The readings on the cards are very naive and straight forward stupid. Worst deck I've ever seen. Not worth a penny! Had to give it one star to write a review, but would give it zero.
