Book Description

Wolf Sirens #2: Fever: Many are Born, Few are Reborn:

Eternally Cursed to Love & Not Purely Desire…

Temperatures rise as the flames of longing still burn in the thrilling sequel to Wolf Sirens Forbidden. The legend continues. Apollo, god of deadly plague, conspires to undo his sister’s legacy. The wolves exist between two worlds, one in the town another in the forest.
Prophecy says hunters and wolves are cursed to a mutual attraction. Increasingly, each successive slayer becomes more alluring to the wolf. The predestined enemies struggle, to both resist and contain their fierce rivalry in a conflict powerful enough to tear two worlds apart.
A shadow has fallen over the heartlands of myth and reality. The chosen is reborn broken-hearted, in the scorching embers of grief. Devastated, Lila trains tirelessly as the assassin. She must submit to deliver justice and protect the innocent of Shade.
But is it love or revenge which motivates her?
Will the huntress or her heart prevail? Breaking away from the call of destiny and fearing betrayal, Lila makes a desperate escape in search of her lost beloved. The intensity between two ancient enemies ignites. The history of the wolf pack is revealed as devotion and desire in the underworld reaches fever pitch.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Goodreads "I love this book. It draws you in from first couple paragraphs. I'm giving this 5 stars." - Ariella 5 stars

"This is a must for the lovers of the first book. Wolf Sirens Fever has not the same rhythm as the first book but it is written in the same or even better writing style. "- Ruty B 4 stars

"I like the mythological element that continues to fold it's way into the story. Another entertaining addition to the Wolf Sirens series."
 - Emily 4 stars
"The plot is amazing as is the first book. Watching not only Lila but many other characters struggle will have you torn in two. You have shifters for the one who love paranormal books as I do and you also get some mythology. Something is constantly going on and in this book you get to see inside many of the characters and what made them what they are."

4.0 out of 5 stars A great sequel! May 21, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
If you liked book 1 you'll enjoy getting the inside scoop on the characters in 2! Fever starts out exactly where Forbidden left us. In this book we get a little of both worlds, in the fact that the story continues while pausing briefly in between chapters to give us a more detailed look into each character, their motives, & their past. While this can be distracting to some, I enjoyed it very much since I am all about getting the inside scoop! ;) This definitely isn't your average shifter story as we have the wolves, the hunters who all seem to be pulled toward one wolf in particular, & the newly turned wolf (formerly hunter). I'm glad I have book 3 to jump into ASAP!

4.0 out of 5 stars A darker sequel February 21, 2013
Format:Paperback
After falling in the darkness, Lila is back, stronger and with thirst for revenge. Wolf Sirens Fever starts right where the first book ended, this sequel is darker and more exciting and above all this book shows us the breaking point in Lila’s life.

This is not the typical sequel where we continue the story of the previous characters. In order to really comprehend how we got here, the author takes the opportunity to tell the story of several characters, making the book a mix of present and past. A wonderful journey through different moments in time and their intersections, showing us the scenes that define the present as we know it.

Mythology is more present than ever, in this installment the magic behind the wolves creation is present on each chapter giving the series a magical atmosphere.

Each story is different but they all are intense and exciting to read. Getting to know the past, the secrets, and the essence of the characters really helps to create a wider and complete idea of this world and the people in it. It makes them more solid and real.

When I say this book is darker I’m referring to the process Lila is living. We see her going through a hard time, doing her best to figure out her destiny and discovering some major life changing truths. She is in a dark hole and it will take a lot of determination and the desire to finding the true to getting out of there.

Cresida is now a major character. She is there for Lila and will be the key to the story. Ray takes a different role than the first book and new characters will be added to the story.

The book can we divided in two parts. The first part is much sadder than the second, with lots of regression into the past and with Lila almost as a zombie going through life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting series... July 9, 2013
By Alaina
Format:Paperback
I would like to thank the author for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

**Warning: if you have not read the first book in this series my review will contain spoilers**

The second book in the Wolf Sirens series starts out with a bit more on the legend and the gods that caused Shade to be the way it is, a couple new characters, and picks up with the Epilogue from book one. I have to say I really enjoy series that pick up without any space in between... that way I don't feel like I've missed anything. The beginning of Fever starts out with Lila somewhere in between mourning and denial about Sky, while at the same time trying to figure out who she is as a hunter. This created a much bigger role for Cres which was a huge plus for me because I love her. I loved the fact that I got more insight into the backgrounds of all the different characters and how they became the way they were at the start of the series. The pace of this book was much quicker than the first one, and I found myself unable to put it down. Lila also slowly changed into a completely different character, and I found myself loving her as she became more and more huntress and less and less whiny teenager.

Once again I got to the end of this story and had to immediately download the next one. Tina Smith has a serious gift for riveting endings; she makes you feel like you absolutely have to know what's going to happen. Overall I enjoyed this much more than the first book in the series because there was a lot more action and different chapters were written from the view of other characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars The story is so in-depth, intriguing, and complex... September 19, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
The story is so in-depth, intriguing, and complex....you spend moments of never wanting it to end - and then cursing cause you just couldn't read it fast enough and you simply have to know what happens! It's also unpredictable....no matter how much you guess and think you know what's going to happen - there is just no way to guess all the complexities behind all these storylines. They are just so expertly woven together - it almost seems as if it is just one long novel. Granted, an extremely long one. But each book flows seamlessly into the next. In this one we get more and more answers to our questions, and more of a background into the history of these characters. I definitely recommend this series, particularly to people who enjoyed novels like the Imdalind series by Rebecca Ethington or the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer or those similar in nature. Sections of the books also had me flashing back and thinking about the movie Mean Girls - particularly in the first book with all the discussion of 'cliques'....LOL They may seem a little slow going for some readers....there are times when it does drag a little, but most of that is worth it for the character depth that we are allowed to see and the complexities in all the relationships. The number one thing to keep in mind - they are so good!

The Wolf Sirens series Forbidden, Fever, Night Fall, Dusk in Shade and Dawn in Shade, all continue the epic story that follows the huntress into darkness...

In the midst of a prophecy about Gods and Goddesses, misunderstood seventeen year old Lila Crain moves to Shade, a foreboding small town with a curfew. Unable to imagine the life altering events that lie in wait.

The dark and charismatic Reid has a wolfish grin and amber eyes that would make any girl blush and he has his sights set on the new girl in school.

Acclimating to life in Shade, Lila is quite guarded until Reid's stunning friends - including icy top dog Sam - invite her into their clique. Flattered by their attention, Lila answers the intriguing call like a moth to a flame.

Thrillingly introduced to the local night life by the enigmatic group, Lila finally feels like she belongs. But her newly found friendships threaten to turn sour when she unwittingly develops feelings for the leader's off-limits boyfriend, Sky.

Lila's new found confidence is rocked further when an unstable classmate named Cresida warns her to stay away from the clique at all costs.

The clique like to keep their friends close and their enemies closer. Cresida knows their fatal secret and is honour-bound to protect those who are endangered.

When Lila's life is threatened she is determined to uncover the truth behind their mysterious lifestyle. She unwittingly starts off a chain of events that will forever change fate for both hunter and hunted.

Lila suddenly realises she is part of the legend - only not in the way she longs to be. The allure between hunter and hunted becomes a fatal attraction as she learns they have been waiting for her...

Inspired by the legend of the femme fatale goddess, Artemis, WOLF SIRENS is a compelling gothic masterpiece about forbidden love in the underworld.
