Another erotic, romantic installment in the Wolf Tales series,
This review is from: Wolf Tales II (Paperback)
Tia Mason lost her mother at the young age due to an accidental shooting. Her father never told her about her Chanku heritage -- until now. Luc Stone's no longer the young, troubled police officer he was when he first met Tia's father and learned about his own Chanku heritage. He's a grown man, a leader in the pack, and he's ready to claim what's his. Their attraction instant; their sensual discovery sizzling. But there are secrets yet to be discovered, and when her father's life is threatened, Tia has to do more than just become Chanku. She has to forgive.
This second installment in Kate Douglas' Wolf Tales series takes two people with instant chemistry and a deeply enmeshed past, and throws them together. Add the rest of the pack to the mix and what you have is one hot, sensual page-turner of a read. Tia is a heroine whom the reader can identify with, and Luc is a hero to take your breath away. The secondary characters are as richly drawn, and the plot just keeps moving. This is a compelling read, one which will keep the reader up until the early hours of the morning. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next book in this series and highly recommend this title to lovers of erotic romance and shapeshifters. Bravo!

Wolf Tales II,
This review is from: Wolf Tales II (Paperback)
Tianna "Tia" Mason has returned to San Francisco to take a teaching position but also to be near her father and to try to find the truth of her mother's death twenty years before. She's always felt out of place, like she didn't fit in but attributed it to other reasons because she didn't know she was Chanku - an ancient race of shapeshifters.
On her return, she is met at the airport by her father and his long time employee, Lucien Stone. Tia is the mate Luc has dreamed of for years and he's now the person tasked with teaching her about her heritage and her own ability to shift into a wolf. Tia remembers Luc and her attraction returns full force when she sees him at the airport. But he has secrets that reach far beyond the Pack and the ways of the Chanku. Will their love survive the revelation of those secrets as well as the knowledge that, as a Chanku female, Tia's favors will belong to all the Pack? I really enjoy the blistering hot sex and sensuality of Kate's Wolf Tales stories and this book does not disappoint. The characters are well rounded and interesting as well. I just wish the resolution of some of the issues didn't feel so convenient. Even so, Wolf Tales II was a really fun read with hot and steamy sex, with characters you root for and sympathize with. I have to agree with Altagracia Perceval "alta" review this book does not live up to the first book unlike the first book this one can be described in two words awkward and awful. This book has every romance book cliché, the big misunderstanding that can be cleared up in a page, the big bad government guy out to destroy the innocent supernatural organization out to help humanity, we are destined to be together and if you don't listen to the hero who always knows best all the bad stuff that happens is the heroine fault, the absentee father who's idea of protection is sending the child away and never explaining anything until she's knee deep and has no choice on anything, etc.
Also and if an open marriage is such an integral way of life why all the guilt about enjoying yourself with multiple partners? Give me a break I bought this book because I was sold on the concept by the first one and I wanted more, what I got was a book that took longer to get to the lovemaking, where the concept of the Chanku was explained and repeated so many times it annoyed me right out of the story. A hero and heroine to stupid to live that when they got together at the end I said to myself "Good for you, I hope you make each really miserable for the rest of your life together." Everything unique about the first book was taken out in this second and turned into your typical romance novel what a waste of paper and money. I will not be buying wolf tales III, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Wolf Tales II
Tia has been left without a mother, who finds out later that her lover has a lot to do with it. She has left Boston and left her girlfriend lover behind to go to California to find out what has happened to her mother. Is her lover girlfriend, Shannon, safe? She finds out that she is Chanku from her boyfriend lover who eventually becomes her mate. Her father is kidnapped and she and the other pack members have to go to Montana to the Chanku pack for Anton's wizard and Chanku skills to help find her father. Many, many things happen! Cannot disclose. You will be shocked, entrigued, turned on as well as left waiting to keep turning the page. Keep reading the series, I know I will!

One Word .... WOW!,

The only thing that I didn't like about this is that the 3rd installment isn't coming out until next year, around January. Sigh! I hope that this series is around for a LLOONNGG time! The sex scenes are hot & tastefully done & the characters are very well written. Short summary of the book: Tia Mason is a Chanku (werewolf) but she doesn't know it. Her father asks Luc to explain it to her about what she is. Problem: Luc accidently killed Tia's mother a long time ago .... When Tia finds out, will she forgive Luc? ..... Read & find out. This book will not disappoint you. Guaranteed!

I agree with a couple other readers....the stories are getting repetitious. The characters are different but the scenario is the same and you can pretty much figure out what is going to happen before it does. The stories are hot and enjoyable but I'm looking for something that changes the story up a bit....just a little.I do enjoy the series and will read book 3...but might read a couple other books before getting into book 3. Worth your while to read.

Boring,

I read the previous book in this series, Wolf Tales, and for some reason decided to read this one anyway. It is so unbelievably repetitive and boring and contains a "big secret". I have little patience for the old tired "big secret" plot line or for dull books anymore.
The plot is about a secret clan of highly sexual werewolves who work to combat terrorism (or something). The alpha wolf of the clan has raised his daughter Tia without telling her the secret of their race. He sends her off to school so she won't be anywhere near him and his pack. When she's well past the age of changing he allows his top man Luc to initiate her into the pack which will include five other horny guys. Tia is a beauty and a full blooded werewolf and once given the correct supplements to "change" will become the alpha bitch for all of the men who drool over her the moment they set eyes on her. She will only be "mated" (the soul mate) to one however. So she'll sleep with them all but her heart will belong to only one. Poor thing. Luc accidentally killed her mother when she was a wee child but he withholds this from her until the last infuriating minute because he's afraid to face up it. I finished this book but I'm not sure why. It was more like a mostly vanilla, slightly steamy romance with some bad words thrown in and only a little bit of kink. All of the weirdness that strangely kept me reading the first book was missing and it read more like a post 9/11 espionage romance novel with some werewolves thrown in. Overall it was boring and pretty pointless.

Tia Mason, daughter of Ulrich, and Lucian Stone fall in love in Wolf Tales II. The catch? He killed her mother accidentally years before. Wolf Tales II also gives us a bit more insight into the pack pecking order so to speak as we see Jake, packmate to Lucian, blatently challenge him for Tia, during an intimate moment. Jake takes off and we're left to wonder what will become of him. We get to meet the other packmates as well as Tia's dad, Ulrich, which paves the way for future books and other stories to be told. This book packs a bunch just like Wolf Tales did. Hot as a fire cracker. It leaves you breathless for Kate Douglas' next book.
